Here is a link to my card. Sorry so late, I made it this morning before I had to go to work, but ran out of time. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in this tragedy...
Emily, This was a perfect challenge for this week and gave us all a chance here on SCS the opportunity to express some of those feelings we have been feeling all week. May the God of all comfort be with all of those families who lost loved ones at Virginia Tech. I am so impressed by the way the students and faculty have handled this tragedy with dignity and grace. It speaks volumes for their character and faith.
Here's my card: The God of all comfort by lazylizard at Splitcoaststampers

I think this is a very awesome challenge... There is a family that lives down the street from me that could use your support.... Please read the following....
A little background.. The Clark family lost their son in the VA Tech massacre. He didn't go easy.....
Their son bravely did what no one else dare to do... He saved several lives from being taken brutally, before his life was taken as well... This family is in terrible grief and needs your prayers and support... If you have a moment to send a card, please do so as this family is grieving a travesty in a small town where things like this just don't happen...Please take a few moments to make a card for this family... Thank you so much....
Please send cards to the following address by May 3rd to be forwarded to the family personally....
Clark Family
C/O Keri Brown
1845-A Hill Dr.
Fort Gordon, Ga
30905
Again thank you for taking the time to make a card for this family... Your support is greatly appreciated....
Keri
Please keep this family in mind when you are making your other 2 cards for the families listed in the challenge... Thank you again...
I got a few suggestions last week to do sympathy cards for the families of the Virginia Tech victims. A fellow SCS'er has volunteered to give cards to two families that are co-workers of her husband's family. Here is the information if you would like to send cards. Please make them out to one of the families and she will deliver them. I know that we stampers are so good at reaching out to others, I'd love to shower these families with our thoughts and prayers.
The info is as follows:
Nicole White was Junior in International Studies and German. She died in Norris Hall on Monday, April 16th during the mass shooting at Virginia Tech.
The other co-worker was a man who lost his cousin, Mike Gwaltney.
Cards should be sent to me and I will send them in mass to the family:
Family of Nicole White (or Family of Mike Gwaltney)
c/o Cindy McVey
15002 Gates Mill Road
Midlothian, VA 23112
Here is a third family close to an SCS'er:

Please put CC111in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here!
As always, I am open to suggestions for future color challenges! Please pm me if you have one. Including a sample is always appreciated! I will probably not respond, as I get several, but I save them for future reference!
Thank you emily for adding this family.. It means a lot to me and our town.....

I finally got one done that I am honored to send.... I hope you all like it... I know the family that gets it will be forever grateful... to all of us... Thank you everyone... Keri
Great challenge and such a great idea to send the cards to grieving families. Here is my first card - I hope to be able to make a second for the other family as well. It's going in the mail first thing in the morning - I hope it arrives in time since it's coming from Okinawa. VT With Sympathy
I made two of these and all will go in the mail today. Thank you, Emily for a wonderful idea, and to Keri and Cre8tivelady for delivering the cards. I hope they will bring some small bit of comfort to these grieving families and friends.
These are really wonderful, guys! I'm glad to know we're reaching out to those we know. I'm sponsoring a quickie turnaround swap for the families, and will send one of each of our cards to the families on graduation day.
PLEASE see the link below! Thanks, Laurel ( Hokie class of 1998 )
