I started on this this morning, but had to go to work, so I finally got it finished. It is so not me and I'm not sure I like it. I made a crisscross card like we did for VSN and used a stamp set that is not one of my favorites.
You go Karen! I love these colors for the teen cards, they are fun and cheerful and make me happy just to work with them or maybe it's the fact that we got sun today in Michigan and I found a pansy in the garden! Whatever...Thanks for the challenge!
This is a TOUGH color combo! That's the point, right? The reason it's called a "Challenge"??? Well, this is pretty much what I had in mind thinking of kids. Thanks to Santa for bringing The Cat's Meow to my DD for Christmas!!!
I decided to play in this challenge before I went to bed tonight. I stamped teal on the yellow. Can anyone tell me what yellow and blue make? GREEN!!! It's time for me to go to bed!! What was I thinking??
I just can't quit with this one!!! It's too fun using my kid's stamps - LOL! Here is my second one for CC44. I love the little French doggie.
Thanks, Karen, for the totally fun color combo!
I finally got around to doing one for the cc challenge. I tweaked it alittle and used regal rose instead of rose red. I love the colors together and this was totally out of the box for me.
I couldn't resist staying up late to try one more with this color scheme. I wanted to see how it worked with a more traditional style card. I had to tweak the colors a bit for the leaves by using Sage and NQNavy, but overall it looks Teal-ish. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
It seems that I would like to do the colour challenge of my choice!!! I just noticed that is was Rose Red, not real Red. I'm going to put it down to not feeling great. Anyhow, here is my second attempt at the challenge (but with real red).
Karen, what a great color combo you gave us to try! I wouldn't have picked these colors together, but after looking at all the striking cards everyone made I had to try it:
Becky -- you go girl! I count three awesome cards using this combo! And each of them has a different feel to them, amazing!!
Thanks, Karen! I was really getting into it last night. Probably because the rival college basketball team to my in-state favorite was getting a nice whipping by Vanderbilt on their home court! hahaha
That puts an extra bounce in my step every time!
I use Rose Red with Barely Banana a lot... I can't say I've used Taken with Teal much (I actually can't believe I had a piece of it!)... I personally HATE Yoyo Yellow.... (ditto, can't believe I had a piece!). I don't have Taken with Teal ink, so on the wheeled part I used Night of Navy and on the Mouse layer I used Tempting Turquoise.
I felt like I was back in the 80's for this one. I had fun, even though I would never had used these colors on my own.
Thanks, Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Now this was a challenge, but sure brightened up a rainy day! I do not have YY or TT ink, but did have paper. I combined with Beth's TLC46 challenge...Reverse Spotlight. Enjoy, Nancy
