If you go to Forums>Challenges>Christmas Cards then you should see each month's thread listed there. Just make sure it says CCC09 and NOT CCC08! If you still can't find it, let me know...don't worry about posting to the February thread...I've already checked you off...just pick up with March!
My New Year's resolution this year was to do the CCC, and I've been doing great with it, but only just realized that I didn't sign up in this post! It's a fun way to get all of the cards done early, although dh thinks I'm nuts, lol! Well, of course he's not the one who has to worry about the Christmas cards, since he doesn't so much as lick a stamp for the envelope...... How many people are doing the challenge so far?!!!

Yep. My dh thinks I'm a fruitcake for doing our Christmas cards right now. So do my girlfriends. But I told them it's so I can have enough to send. Plus, our scrappin' group always does a Christmas card exchange and a contest to see whose card is the favorite and I never win. So I hope to have enough chances this year to come up with a winner.

It's okay, I had you down on my master list. Last count there are 264 participants in this challenge...many of those,though, I haven't heard from since they originally joined... :rolleyes:
Hey, I have my cards done for January but I need my DD's help loading it to the site. I had to make a quick trip to Wisconsin for my Grandpa's funeral, (he was 90), so I'm still working on February's. Hopefully, by this weekend I will have both of them up and running.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa...we just had my uncle's funeral today- he was 86. I've checked you off for January. Just let us know once you get February done! ;)
I've just finished Feb's cards ... been working on them all week after work. We're leaving town for the weekend tomorrow so I had to finish them tonight. I hope March will be alot less compressed!

I just want to sing some praises to the challenge hostess! This challenge is the best thing ever! Thanks so much for the great idea! I have finished half the cards I'll need for Christmas and it's only March!! Plus I really love making christmas cards, I miss it when the season is over. This will give me more time to focus on the other little things. Like tags, gift bags, ornaments.
Question:
Since I'm going to end up with all the cards I need, plus some extras! It's okay if I use other holiday items for my monthly count right? Like tags & gift bags?
I wish we could do this challange for other major holidays. Like Easter & Thanksgiving. Those are the 3 holidays when I tend to send out a bunch of cards.
I just had a thought: I really want to send handmade invitations to our annual Christmas open house this year. I still need to make cards, but I'm going to start adding some invitations in the mix if that's OK? I'll need about 75 invitations so I need to get hopping!
Location: In my stamp room, stamping, painting, and gluing... with the dogs playing under my feet....

Yes, that will be fine. I plan on making tags and holiday thank yous once I'm finished my Christmas cards.

I've discovered that it isn't February any more (heavy sigh) and new kittens take up time! So, my February cards are almost done....now to get on to March!
So, I'm running behind....but, it's almost there! With help from the new orange blurs!

Welcome! You can either start with March and go till November or you can start with January and play catch-up. It's up to you. Just let me know what you decide.

I'm one of the great unknown who haven't made contact.
I've just finished some "January cards" and uploaded a photo to my gallery. However, I found I had to make three postings before it would accept the URL. So ... I'll make another couple of replies to people and then post to the January thread.
Thanks for running the Challenge - it's a great idea.

The last 2 years, I intended to sstamp March-November, but started MUCH later!! Especially in 2008! LOL
I decided I really better get going this year...my plan was to do Feb-November. Still started late, but I did my first dozen yesterday! I'm gonna post them for March...then do February as a "make-up" personal challenge. I even told my husband to pester me every month!!
It will be fun to watch what people create!!

I guess I should clarify! I said "Go ahead and bug me about my Christmas cards. You have permission to ask, 'So, have you made a dozen Christmas cards yet this month?' "
He does pester me a bit about my SU orders "How much ribbon do you need?"
Somehow, I'm not hearing him! ;)
By the way...here is my first Christmas card for 2009! In singular and batch forms!
I think i need to opt out of this before I start for this year, as some very hectic things are heading my way, and also I always over join things.... so sorry ladies! have fun!
