here are my first two christmas cards for this month. i figure if i can make at least 2-3 of each card then i am set... luckily most of the kits i am trying to use up first have 2-3 images in them.
only 8 more cards to make to fill my month's quota!!
Yay me - first two cards (out of 6) completed! A friend and I are having our own mini-challenge, to produce cards on a random theme; last week she picked a card which said 'Candles' so here are my first offerings. I wasn't intending to do the 'non-traditional colours' challenge but perhaps I can have half a point for red and blue instead of red and green This is a link to my blog entry - I'm a technophobe by nature and a slow learner so haven't plunged in to a gallery here yet....just give me time..... Leaves From My Notebook: First two for 2013
If anyone needs any inspiration, go over to today's Technique Lover's Challenge and pick any one of the challenges from 2012 - it's a fun way to try a technique from last year!

Here's my first one for 2013. I'm not too good with non-traditional colors. I'm a traditional kind of person, but I like blue for Christmas cards. I'll have to see if I can get a little braver and try something really non-traditional!
I am rethinking how many I will make a month. I said 4, but only sent 35 of my 44, so am going back to main thread and changing my goal to 3 a month. Is that okay:?

I'm going to cheat a little bit and talk about a 2012 card first. I've been waiting over a week for my daughter to send another photo of the card I made for her as the photo she took (I forgot!) just doesn't represent the card at all! Am I going to have to drive to her house and take the photo myself?!
However, I shall redeem myself by announcing that I have my January cards done already! I wasn't going to even think of them for several weeks yet, but I've seen so much inspiration and finally had to case a card made by pvilbaum (Pat). I even followed the January challenge to use a non-traditional color. Woot woot!
I made 3 of my 6 but no matter what I do I simply cannot get my pics to load to SCS gallery. I'm on a Mac and haven't been able to load a pick for a really long time....
But here's the link to Flicker, where I load all my stuff....

Wow! What a nice gallery you have! I noticed the small envelope you crocheted, that you don't know what to do with. A SCS friend made some like that for a tea swap. It was a teabag holder for your purse, or to carry with you. Are you a tea drinker? Just saying.
Thanks for sharing your gallery with us. Have you ever begun a thread asking for help for loading photos from a Mac? Or pm'd Lydia or someone. I imagine there are others who do this. Maybe they could help. I can't because I know nothing about a Mac, and not much more about a PC.

Oooh! I have amazed myself by making 10 cards in the past week, having set myself a target of 6 per month! I'm sure I won't keep this speed up for long but I'm basking in glory while I can...I freely admit that all these were made from inherited stuff which isn't my usual style and certainly quicker to make, but I shan't be ashamed to sign my name to them even if they won't be going to my 'special' family members and crafting friends. I will post at the beginning of the first thread what ever I find out
It's cold and icy outside so a good time to stay inside and work on Christmas cards! I haven't done the CCC13 January challenge for non-traditional colours yet, so used yesterday's CAS challenge to try (it's hard for me!). Even though there is some red in it, the lime, turquoise, and brown are definitely non-traditional:
I finally got my first Christmas card done. While remodeling and working in drywall dust I took time to brush off a spot and work. I fizzled out on this last year but this year I plan on keeping up.
Here is my card.
