Love this motivation for monthly Christmas cards!! Please put me down for 6 per month (may do more but did not mail as many as I hoped this past year) :-) Thanks again for hosting this challenge for all of us- Happy New Year!!
I joined this challenge last year for the first time and it was fantastic. Thanks to all the ladies who think up the topics for the monthly inspiration, although I wasn't great at sticking to them!!!! Thanks too Vicki for doing this again. Put me down for 4 a month.
Good heavens woman. 3 pages into this challenge already?
I'm in to play again this year. I did not one single Christmas card in 2013. Had everything set up then life just spun out of control. A couple drastic changes have tilted my world and I'm having to refocus on creative time to keep my sanity. So...
6 cards and 6 tags per month.
I'm hoping to use the 25th of each month plus VSN challenges to stay on track.

Well Happy Monday everyone....I just put a sticky note on each month of my calendar telling me what the Challenge is for that Month...got that idea from someone who said they were making a list. Love...Love... the challenges it is COLD here in TX today so I just may work on a few Christmas cards and stay warm.....
I was trying to upload a card for the challange. I printed out the directions that you gave but I get as far as upload card and then none of the screens are the same as on the instructions. What do I do?

I think those were old pictures taken before the new uploader was in place. The new uploader is actually easier so maybe you can do it without pictures. You go to gallery and to the right choose upload picture. You can skip the first step. It will automatically go into your member gallery. In number two click browse and go to where your picture is on your computer or click upload if it is stored online. Then click on upload and continue. On the next page, fill in the title and keyword and any other info you want and click on submit.
Love the idea of getting my cards done slowly this year instead do the mad dash it usually happens in. My goal will be 10 cards per month from January through October. November will be devoted to tags. I'll try some of the monthly challenges also. Thanks for setting this up. Hopefully, I can stay on track!

Welcome, Kelly!
This group is super supportive. As a past group leader and 4 year participant, I can tell you from experience that checking in with the group regularly is the key to not falling by the wayside. Most of us are veterans of the thread so if we can help, just ask. :-)

I signed up last year but never followed through. Have never even uploaded a card so this will be all new to me. Goal is six cards per month. I better get started...tomorrow.
I got my cards done in 2013 but lost my way with the challenges. This year I am going to commit to 10 per month and any extras are a bonus - better get started!

I'm revisiting a goal I had of working on my cards the 25th of the month. I use to belong to a group called 'Reindeer Club'. The 25th of every month was our day to work on all things Christmas. Whether it was to make our cards, try a new cookie recipe or work on gifts.
So the 25th is my day. Maybe I'll have the studio back in order by the ;-)

Haven't gotten around to making any Christmas cards yet. Got hit with a doozy of a cold this week and am trying to catch up with birthday cards and swap cards due. Also doing catch up on emails, SCS posts. Hope to get to the Christmas cards next week.
I've never joined this challenge before. I think it might help me with my goal. I never have cards made til around the first or second week in December! Ack! I will make a goal of doing 8 Christmas cards per month Jan-Oct. Then I will be super prepared before the holiday madness hits!
I love this challenge and thanks for keeping it going! I set my goal low, 3 cards per month. In reality it is anywhere from 0 to 10. But it sure did motivate me to not have to rush in December. I had 5 done for this year but ended up sending them at the last minute. Glad to see this challenge continue!
Hey Kelly....good to see you here...I like the idea of working on Christmas cards on the 25th of the month..may try that.
Hey Sue!
I have belonged to a group called Christmas Notebook for almost 15 years. We used to have mini groups called Reindeer Clubs where we got together in real time or on -line and encouraged each other throughout the day to work on something Christmas. Use to get a lot of projects done that way.
Before reading this post, I had just turned to the 25th in my To Do Journal and wrote 10 Cards - 10 Tags at the top of the list. LOL

Just remember to check in. Being accountable is a great motivator and the challenges will spur you to complete your goal!

One of the things I do is take part in VSN challenges - The virtual stamping night. I usually try to make a Christmas card using their hourly challenges. Sometimes I'll cut the components for 6-10 cards while I'm cutting, then put them together later.
Of course, you have to participate - which I did not do at all last year and really missed the fun!

Woohoo - I have 3 completed cards as of today towards my target 5! Actually I've cheated just a bit: one was made a few days before Christmas but not sent; one is a stitched panel which was made in November then forgotten, so I only mounted it today; the third is also stitched which I started 10 days ago (there won't be too many of THAT pattern, it was more time consuming than I expected) and I added a complimentary decoupage motif before making it up into a finished card complete with insert sheet and stamped greeting. I hope to scan them to put on my blog tomorrow, but DH has a new computer with a different graphics package from the previous one and it may take me a while to find my way round it.....
I've had cards like that. Great idea but too labor-intensive to repeat. How you get them done isn't important. What is - that you are not wondering why you have no cards to send in December. LOL

REMINDER - Postage is going up around the 27th of this month - 3 cents! Check with your local PO now and see if they have any of the Christmas Forever stamps left. My postmaster is holding back 3 books of the gingerbread ones for me. I'm also going to be getting 3 or 3 books of the current forevers before the price goes up.

I got some Harry Potter Forever stamps. And more 1s because I put that extra 20 on a lot of my cards, and it's going up a penny. Stocked up on Christmas stamps too!
Thanks for the reminder.

My first 3 cards may be seen on my blog That's something else that was neglected last year and which I intend to cosset more fondly in the coming months.....
