Hi Arlene, I have a lot of scraps too! How are you going to use your scraps on Christmas cards? I would love some inspiration using scraps! Some papers are so cute I'd love to use them up!
Have you thought about 'tiling'? Cut your scraps into 1x1 squares. Mat them then use them in 4 or 6 blocks on your card front... like a window pane. The 4 looks great with a vertical card and the 6 on a horizontal. You can also use only 3 on the horizontal... maybe do the tiles a bit bigger. 1.5x1.5?

I have a plastic tote of cardstock scraps and a tote of printed paper scraps. I have both totes out and as I create a card I refrain from cutting into a new sheet of paper unless I absolutely have to. I also have lots and lots of stamped images that I obtained thru the wonderful swaps on SCS, so I went thru them and sorted them by holiday and I have the Christmas ones out to use on my cards. I also have baggies full of ribbon remnants that I am trying to use up! I also plan to make the 3x3 cards, gift tags and scraplings to try to bring my scrap heap under control. With all this being said - I am also trying to control my spending, hoarding and impulse buying. Check out this thread: I'm going "cold-turkey" on the craft spending! Does anyone want to join me? by Bellegirl at Splitcoaststampers

I have zip lock bags sorted by primary colors. All smaller pcs are put in them where ever they fit colorwise. I have an additional one for sparkly fancy small paper. They all sit at the wall side of my table and I use them all the time. Good luck.
A true card maker NEVER throws away good paper, no matter how small....lol
Don't forget to add me to the Jan list as well - I did a OSW with the ornament punch. I think I uploaded to the right gallery but who know since it was my very first post!
A bit OT but I know you ladies will be able to help me, I bought a Big Shot but don't have any embossing plates for it yet and was looking at the Nestabilities as well.
Does anyone know if we have a thread on how to use them? I'm the clueless wonder! Thanks

I hope I did this right. My first time posting a card. January has been a very difficult month and I only had time to make these two cards but I'm on my way! I look forward to your feedback.
I finally made it...Last day of the month in the last few hours. It's been a crazy month for me. I've been very busy moving and trying to get a lot of other projects done. Glad I only asked to do 5 cards...otherwise...I would be scrambling right about now.
Wow it was 9:15pm and I realized it was Jan 31st. Ran to the craft room to do my Christmas Cards. I am having major difficulties trying to upload to my gallery so I cant link to there. I will have to figure this out when I am not so rushed. But my cards are in before midnight

Taking the picture is part of my process. As soon as I'm done for the day, I take them upstairs and get out the camera. I don't always get them resized and transfered to the ART flash until I'm ready to use them, but the picture is part of making them for me.

It is a good day to stay in, Carol. Though I'm sorry for the reason you have to be in. How are you feeling?
kelly - thanks for asking - i,m doing pretty good - started doing some arm exercises and that hurts pretty good - but the alternative is worse....just keeping busy with reading, crossword puzzles, facebook games and scs!

I usually do too, but with all the grandparents in town last week for my little one's first birthday, it just wasn't at the top of the list that time And shooing everyone out the door yesterday to get on airplanes before all got canceled, since we live about 75 miles from O'Hare, today I finally get to breathe a little
