August cards done
I'm a bit early, but my husband is coming home from deployment in a few weeks so I want to get all my crafts/swaps/challenges done for the month of Aug.
here is mine for August. I actually did it for a June VSN challenge. Love to try to incorporate at least one Christmas card into the challenges, because it gives me a good excuse to get the monthly allotment done!
September is finished too, but no thread yet. I am SOOOOOOO thankful for this challenge to work on our Christmas cards all throughout the year. I am so far ahead of the game, for once!! ;)
Wow!!! Some of you are really ahead of the game! Alcojo94---congrats on your hubby coming home.....what a nice treat for you!

Keep up the great work---Christmas will be here before we know it (and I sure hope so......this 100 degree weather is hard!) and we'll all have one less stress to worry about!
Shortened a rather wordy verse from Season's Greetings using my marker and StampaMaJig to line up the text. Popped it out with an oval punch to make a tag. CASED a layout from Renee(momof3boys), and used scraps of background paper to combine this with the Christmas Card Challenge. I made 10 this morning, since I got up way too early. I just realized it was the beginning of August and I needed to get my month's cards done. Combined it with a Limited Supply Challenge for today.
I have my August and probably Sept. 2006 cards done. I just finished cutting out 24 more to take with me on trip in November. I don't finish them, I put them together when I get on vacation with hubby. That way when he is in meetings, I can do my cards without taking all the stuff with!
Anyways, I just did 24 more totaling - ready?....
I have over 100 Christmas cards done!

Well, I finally sat down and got started on my Christmas cards. I did 2 different cards (havent scanned them in yet) and i got 24 of each one done! I am so excited. I am going to try and sit down again tonight and make 24 more :-)

Boy August has gone by fast with camps, swim lessons, vacation and school starting last week plus stamp camp. I hadn't a chance to breathe until yesterday when I finished my cards. As I was getting ready to post here yesterday, I remembered that it was "no upload Sunday". So, I waited until today. I finished 12 of these cards. I'm so excited that all my Christmas cards are almost done for this year! I've got cards to send to family, friends, customers, my husband's clients, teachers, coaches, etc. and I don't have to worry about running out!! Yeah!!!

Here we are, down to the wire, and there are only 15 people done and posted for this month. Now that the kiddies are back in school, hopefully we can all find a little time to do 10 Christmas cards......only a couple more months and you'll be thanking yourself for joining!!!!
OH MY for pittys sake I think I am be in the right place now I uploaded my August card in the Sept card thread ..Sorry Lisa.. BUT anyway here is my August christmas cards got 10 done and uploaded in the correct place WHEW !!:rolleyes: this card looks much better IRL cause of the glitter on snowflakes Thanks for looking ..
