Here is my first card for April! The month is half over and I've only completed one card. Seems to be the norm for me. Well, I have the flu and won't be going to work today, so maybe I'll have enough energy to make at least one card today. We'll see. :-)
OK, here is my first one for April :-) Do you think this color combo is too non-traditional? I still need to create the additional six or so and can change the color combo if needed.... it is starting to "grow" on me but need your opinion :-) Thanks so much!!

Here are my first cards for April ... I must be ill I never get my cards ready this early in the month!!!!!
After I had finished them I realised that they would have been ideal for the March challenge as 90% of the supplies have been in my stash forever ... but I'm not good with challenges!!
I really have had no motivation to do anything Christmas for a while and now feel very behind... so, I think I need to just force my self to get the ones I started a few months ago done so I can be in the "start over new and fresh" mind set... when I don't finish a card because of what ever reason its nearly impossible to want to start on it again.
(don't ask me why, I'm strange I know)

You're not strange - I have a bunch of half-made cards in a box on my desk!! And I always have the best of intentions to go back and finish them but then I have an idea for a new card and choose to make that instead.

I nearly got behind this month - I'd to do eight birthday cards and prepare two cards for a class and I found it very hard to get back into Christmas card mode. Finally got to work on Sunday and did two cards and tags. Finished them off today and made another three cards and tags too so feeling very productive :-D. Obviously, no housework done today at all!!
Well this month has been a struggle for ideas but I finished these just in time. Not my best efforts but with family arriving Sunday Ive been trying to get ahead.
I've finally done some tags with leftover scraps of dp from two of my April cards. Lots of fun and I must remember to do it more often - great challenge, Stacy! Here they are:
well... I *think* I am officially caught up with Feb and March as of last night ( got the mugshots posted too) so...
these gift tags and gift cards were done from the scraps of those cards...
Ack! I just finished the design and have an hour to make the other 9 cards (plus the tag). I'll do what I can.
I have to wait until daylight to take pictures. I finally used SU's Illuminate shimmer pad and there is no way I'm going to be able to pick up the detail of that in a picture tonight.

Blah! I made all 10 cards last night, saw them in daylight, and hate them. The Illuminate really doesn't show up well at all, which I thought was just a trick of my bad lighting.
Has anyone made a set of cards then decided to chuck them and start over? Because I'm considering it.

If you don't want to send your cards as greetings, try using them for thank you notes or cut up for tags. Just a thought.
Sue, I have about three sets from previous years that have never been sent, just didn't like them but what a great idea to cut them up and use as tags.
Yes, that's a fantastic idea! That will give me 10 tags if I can manage to remove my embossed Dasher without too much trouble.
I'm was discussing my problems with the Illuminate with a friend yesterday, and she helped me come up with an alternative way to use it for these cards. I'm going to try it today, and if it looks better I'll get pics of the bad and and good uploaded.

There are so many exciting challenges on SCS that I'm having trouble keeping up with all that I want to participate in. Specifically, I didn't get my April Christmas cards done until May 1st. Then I couldn't post them because they were for tonight's VSN Mini2 challenge.
