Well, I'll give it a go again this year! I shocked myself by actually meeting my goal for 2017!
User name, LizBeth1976; name is Liz; I will go for 6 a month this year, & really challenge myself! Actually, my challenge to myself for this year is to embrace CAS cards, for less postage. I had several that needed 3 stamps! Yikes! :-)
Ann--thank you so much for being the hostess-with-the-mostess for this challenge, & coordinating all these monthly challenges!
one year... every.single.card I mailed cost me 2.50...
so, I am trying so hard to do flatter cards for Christmas that have to be mailed that are not going into a package of gifts...
Hey Denise Welcome, I think everything is accepted its mostly a support group/ kickingtheseatofthepantsifneeded type thing more than a "though shalt" type group...
I sell more tags than cards in my booth but, Christmas and birthdays are the big things for me with gift card holders falling into say 3rd or 4th so, I am interested to see what you will be creating.

:shock::shock::shock:
Wow! Stacey, you and I (and Ann!) are doing our best to keep the Post Office in business!
I did try my best this year to give the heavily embellished cards to those folks I hand-deliver cards to, but I made more of them this year than I realized! So, I will do my best to make use of the CAS challenge each week! (And feel free to remind me of that! LOL!) :-)

For those of you who are SCS Fan Club members, I thought I'd just point out the special monthly Christmas challenges run by Stacy, aka Twinshappy, for Fan Club members only.
If you like challenges to help inspire more Christmas cards, you can do her challenges and post your cards on these Christmas card challenges as well - it helps me get my quota done each month (as do all the other SCS challenges - problem with this Fan Club one is that it is often overlooked. Nothing like doubling up on challenges!!
Oh, here's another failure for last year...I ended up with serious hand issues throughout the month of December and all types of cards dwindled to nothing! But like, Debbie, hope does spring eternal.
Since I didn't make it last year with my two per month/ 24 for year, I'll stick to that. My theory is, if I get them done early, I can always increase it right!

I've been catching up on the chatter. I'm for needing an old kick in the pants from you Ann...or from any of you to spur me on. Make fun of me...tell me I'm a slacker...challenge me to get a certain # done by a certain date or I'll be laughed at by the group...whatever can get me moving!!

On gift cards...I have been putting pockets on the left inside flap of my cards (Christmas or other gift giving occasions) when I'm sending a gift card and then just doing a regular card. I gift my four adult children Christmas "bonus" checks for Christmas and do the gift pocket on their cards and fold the check in half and it inserts like a gift card.
This year they got store-bought Christmas cards with an insert of a check...they were the only ones who got some type of card from me...everyone else didn't hear from me...first time for immediate and extended family in 10 years that didn't get a handmade card from me! I was feeling pretty out-of-sorts about this whole hand issue, but as they say, this too shall pass (but probably with surgery)!

I'm remiss...THANK YOU, Ann for continuing this fun challenge and for all you do at SCS! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Love the new themes, and I really like the doubled up ones though all more latitude!

You can do it, vikkijo!! Hang in there!! Think of it as just one card at a time....they'll add up!

Or mass produce! I've been making five of the same card. They add up quickly and you can cut or stamp five at a time just as easily as one!
You're right, Kathy--doing them "assembly line" is usually what works for me! Sounds better to say "6 at a time" than "one at a time!"

HI, my user name is Kayne, which also happens to be my nickname and my preferred name.
I am absolutely terrible about leaving everything to the last minute, and then sending out store-bought cards at the last minute to a select few. I need the encouragement from this group to get myself going. I determined last month that I would do it, but so far not much. But then I didn't discover this challenge until today. So since this is the 1st of January, I will start today, for this month.
I'm not sure how many I will need, but I will shoot for a minimum of 4. It is not unachievable, and if I need more, I can always make more. I'm looking forward to this challenge, and "meeting" everyone.
I was a member of this challenge many years ago and would like to rejoin! I've been away from SCS for a few years...looking forward to getting to know all of you again!

Carol, jump in and start with any month!! No need to follow in order!! No challenge police, just have fun!!
Lynn, I am accepting your challenge. I am working on my card right now, as I will not be home the rest of the week.
As for the rest of you, it is only January 1st, and this month has 31 days. No stress.
Hi! I'm setting a goal this year of 12 per month. My main interest is to go for the numerical goal, but I will use the monthly prompts as inspiration as needed.
I haven't made any for this year's challenges yet...but it's only January 2nd!!
I've been trying to kick a bout of bronchitis to the curb! Not much energy for card-making (or housecleaning after Christmas, but who cares about that!?!?), but am feeling better each day. This is my second round of it; got sick the week after Thanksgiving and I don't think I really recovered fully, because of all the Christmas rush to get things done...second one hit me hard 2 days after Christmas. Bleah.
Okay, enough whining, Liz! Get busy with the ink & stamps!!
