Just so everyone knows, this challenge can really work for you. Last night I wrote out all of my cards. This is the first year since I started making my own cards that I was able to sit and do all my cards in one sitting because they were all made!!!! Every other year I have run out of cards before getting to the end of my list! What a great feeling it was to be able to do that. All my cards are out in today's mail, except for the ones that I don't have addresses for. I even have some left over just in case I "forgot" someone. (I always seem to forget one or two every year)

I agree that it works! I only participated for four months in 2007, but I have plenty of Christmas cards and 'in-case-of-emergency' holiday cards, too.
For 2008 I'll participate in all the months and use the other 7 months to make birthday/thank you/other celebration cards. Thanks for the wonderful motivation of this challenge!
I would like to get in on this too.. I just got done making all of my Christmas cards and it would have been so much easier to have them done ahead of time..
I'm so excited I almost (but not quite (seriously I LOVE Christmas)) want it to be January Nothing like going for a big commitment on my first challenge huh?
I would love to take part in the 2008 Holiday Card Challenge! Is it too late to sign up. This will be my FIRST CHALLENGE to participate in. I won't need that many Christmas cards, but I am planning on making cards as a gift for my mother and daughter-in-law for next Christmas and this will be a perfect way to get this accomplished!! I am still navigating my way around this wonderful site. Thanks to all the artists for the inspiration they give...I look forward each day to just browsing the site for new ideas and products!
I've been up since 3am and playing with my new Cuttlebug, and decided to get a head start on my January cards since I am all done with mine for this year! What a great feeling to be the middle of December and to be working on next years cards allready!
This sounds like just what I need. I start mine in August but it still doesn't seem like enough time because everyone keeps wanting me to make stuff for them. I don't mind but seem to run out of time. So please sign me up.
Sign me up! I'm spending all day today doing this year's cards, and am not really enjoying it. I'm not able to spend as much time as I'd like on each one, and this is a busy time of year. Plus, this would be a great way to get me stamping at least once per month.

Well, Stacy, Windows Vista on Office Word, for example, is too complicated to even explain!!! You can no longer just do file open or new, edit, etc. There are now entire TABS of selections for each menu item that go across the whole page, the're so complicated. For instance, Home, Insert, Page Layout References, Mailings, Review, View, Developer, Avery, and Format. And going into each of these "tabs" nowhere do I see "tools." When you cllick on a tab, you get an entire menu of choices for that one thing that are the width of the entire page!!! For example, under "Insert," the choices are cover page, blank page, or page break within the "page" section, picture, clip art, shapes, smart art, and chart within the "illustrations" section, etc. Within that picture section, there is no way to size it. You can change brightness, crop it, etc., but there is no specific size drop-down box or coices. My Lexmark printer has its own menu, and that's where I used to (on my old printer that worked with XP) be able to scan an image, crop it, size it to 640 over 480 manually and save it to a file. Then I'd upload that picture file. But now it gives you choices like 4 x 6, passport, etc. in a dropdown box. It tells you how many kb, etc. the file size is, but the smallest is 1 mg!

Count me in, but I won't start til February!! I have already purchased a number of new Christmas stamps for next year!! But right now I am working on about 10 or more Dec/ Jan birthday cards, and I've just gotten all of my Christmas cards out!
I'm in again this year. I started 07 full force and was doing so well. I did not complete any cards for Sept, Oct., & Nov., as I had to have Rotator Cuff Surgery on my left shoulder. I did finish my cards in Dec. though. I was in such a hurry to mail them out on time that I did not take my pics. Bummer.
Well, hope next year will be better. Now to think of a design.........
Every year I say I am going to make the Christmas cards this year. Every year(around November 28th) I getted stressed because I haven't done them yet. Every year, we scramble and wind up with either a photo greeting or just the letter. THIS year, will be different. What a great idea to do 10 a month. I can do that! Sign me up!
Thanks for thinking of this.

I've never done a group challenge but this one is intriguing. Sign me up for January through November please.
Do we just make the cards then post them?
I would like to join the 2008 Holiday Card Challenge. I don't need a 100 Christmas cards but will include other holidays, gift cards and tags in my count. My daughters also have me make cards for them so will get started.
Okay..... I have been lurking on this forum for the last couple of months, waiting for Jan to roll around and get started on Christmas 2008 cards.
This year postcards (unstamped) were sent out (a great feat for me with a toddler), but next year the bar will be set higher.
I'm looking forward to sending out, our 200 address, list calmly stamped cards---instead of last minute frenzy energy
I might even addresses (those who have predictable locations and families) some of them each month too. Okay---no need to get ahead of myself!!!!
Thank you for the much need opportunity of unaccountably and inspiration. I'm looking forward to seeing what y'all come up with in the upcoming months.
Count me in for another year. It was great having all my cards ready and waiting to be sent out. Stress Free!

I am in. I need the motivation of challenges. This year I stamped a lot of cards, but only a few Christmas cards, and all the people who know I stamp cards, asked what my Christmas cards looked like and I had to admit that I didn't have very many cards at all.
