I'm so glad you guys are here. I posted on another area about this group and then finally found it! I'd like to start now and do Sept - Dec for my cards. Is there a place in the gallery where people upload their cards? How do we know who is done first?
Thanks!
Kitty

Hi Kitty, glad you found us. You can upload your cards to the thread that has been set up for each month. The thread usually starts as CCC07-(month). Sometimes there may be two threads set up. I keep an eye on any christmas card threads that might be started. i then keep track of who posts and when and then I will award the prize. It has been a great year so far with lots of great cards being made. And so may people are going to have a little bit more relaxed holiday season because their cards are done!
Since we are finally getting down to the final months of this challenge I thought I would give you a little update.
I set up a December thread, even though we said the challenge was just until November. But if anyone wants to post pictures in December they will get credit for them in the drawing. The only stipulation is that you have to post by December 15th. That will be the deadline for all posts, in any of the months. I will be drawing for the winner of the final prize package shortly after that date. So make sure you get all your cards in by then.
On that note, I am also still accepting gifts to add to the prize package! I hope to get a really spectacular package together for the winner of this challenge. I already have some great stuff put aside for the winner, but I would like to add to it if possible.
Please sign me up for the Holiday card challenge. This is September so that gives me 3 months to get things started early. Hope my headache goes away so I can begin creating this evening!
Call me 'just a little excited!'
glad you are excited. I was when I first heard about this challenge! I am so glad to have as many cards done as I do now. I already have more than what I did last year! yay! No scrambling around at the last minute, for me!
I just found this thread. Can I still join? I made 10 Christmas cards in August and have already started on cards this month. If it's okay, I will post to the August thread what I made last month.
It will be so nice not to be scrambling to get my cards done at the last minute. Two years ago I mailed my cards on Christmas Eve. How pathetic is that?!?

So it's now almost mid-October, I just discovered this challenge, and since I have approximately 90 Christmas cards to mail out and only about 10 of them done, I decided that this might get me going! Is it too late to do October?

Hi! I would like to do Oct, Nov, Dec. I don't send any more than 30 cards. Next year I'll sign up early and be done way before Dec. 1st! I'll be able to send even more cards out!

I am brand new on this web site or any of them for that matter...
I do not have a SU web site yet - but I have been a SU demonstrator for almost 6 years... I have wanted to get one together just don't have enough stuff to start one nor do I know how to make one. My goal is to get one going before the end of this year though. So I am thinking of joining this challange - I too never get my Christmas cards done like I want to etc.
This would be the best thing for me to motivate myself and keep my creative juices going...
I have a huge question and favor from whomever will respond-HELP I need some ideas for the new SU Cold Play stamp set - asap - I have a workshop coming up on the 20th of October, inwhich the hostess loves snowman and I bought this set thinking it would be really fun to make cards with... I am almost sorry I bought it - because I am having a major problem being creative with this one - Can anybody out there help me - PLEASE & THANK-YOU IN ADVANCE

Have you tried looking in the gallery under Cold Play? There would be lots of cards to look through for that set. Click on this and it will take you there: Cold Play by DCinkit at Splitcoaststampers
That should provide with lots of ideas. Welcome to SCS. You will love it here.

There is a project listed in the SCS resources that is called, "Gel (water) card." I saw a card made with this SU stamp set and I just loved it. The end result looked like the snowman had melted. It was darling and oh so clever. Hope this helps you out some and let me know what you come up with!
I wish I had seen this at the beginning of the year! I'll definitely sign up next year! I figure I'll take one of my 3 day weekends (I work 3 days on/3 off) and make all my cards up!

I will post a thread for the next years Holiday Challenge probably towards the end of November or the beginning of December so keep an eye out!
Count me in! It has been nice to work on these a little at a time and now look forward to the holiday without scrambling to make all the cards that I will need! Thanks to this challenge ALL my christmas cards are done!

Hi. I have been lurking around SCS for a while now and still haven't posted or anything yet! Anyway, I am planning to join the holiday card challenge for next year, so I'm subscribing now. Thanks!

Donna
Hi Donna, I'm back!!!
I cannot find this still any suggestions as to where it is specifically. I am still new and having trouble locating many things you all have sent me. But then I find things by mistake and just go WOW... You are all so very gifted and your creations are ALL so AWESOME AND AMAZING. Since I can't remember where I found something, I just started putting some of the stuff in my favorite file, so I can go back when I have more time to look at them again.
I think my file is getting overloaded already though, so many beautiful things to look at.
I also want to let you know that I think I figured out how to make the scalloped edges using our SU slit punch.
Have a Blessed and Happy Day with many, many, many more to come!!!:p ;)

I would love to contribute something towards this, let me know how and where...
