Hi everyone. I'm noticing many people are posting there e-mail addresses. Please see this thread Forums at Splitcoaststampers
It explains that posting your e-mail address opens you up to SPAM and how to avoid it.
Lisa you might want to add something to your OP so people don't post their e-mail addresses. I think we all hate SPAM and want to avoid it as much as possible.;)
Just a quick plug for prizes! Lisa and Linda will need lots of prizes and money for postage for the drawings they are planning! You can PM either of them if you haven't gotten their addresses.
Thanks, Jami, for the note about the email addresses----I will put a note in the OP. Sure would hate to have those addresses getting in the wrong hands! Also---thanks for answering questions.......I've been lax this week reading/posting (trying to get a scrapbook done for my mom's 75th birthday.....I've never done one before!).
We're hoping to get the OP updated this weekend with names and received packages for prizes/$$ donations. Thanks to all of you who have sent items in---we're getting some fun & great stuff!!
No problem Lisa! I know from last year how hard it can be to keep up some weeks. I figure if I'm here I might as well help if I can. ;) Thanks again for hosting this year! Good luck on that scrapbook - sounds like a big project!
WOW! We are up to 140 people in this challenge and it grows each week!!! So far, there are 40 people finished for January (NOT including myself or Linda!! We need to get on that!)----GREAT JOB! I'll be sending out an email this weekend to everyone with the updated spreadsheet so you can check to make sure I have you down if you're finished.
I've also updated the original post with names and such. If you still have the ** by your name----please send me your email addy so I can add you to the mailing list.
Thanks again to all those who have sent in prizes (I received 2 yesterday but need to update those.....haven't had a chance to open them yet!)---you guys are GENEROUS!
This past year was the first time I didn't get my cards out early & even ended up skipping a few this time, because time just got away from me! Please sign me up and I will begin in February. If you will pm me an address to send prize compensation, I'll do that too...
OK I hope this isnt a lame question but I have NO creativity in me and 99% of the cards I do I case from every where (when I use them I mention whose I cased) is it ok to do this for this challenge? I have tried 2 cards on my own and they just stink so I dont want to waste anymore cardstock. Please let me know if anyone has a problem with this!!

Jackie---I certainly don't see a problem with CASEing.....I do it myself! This challenge is so you get YOUR cards finish......I'm betting the recipients won't know you borrowed the idea (they'll just be happy to get the card!). I say go for it!

I hope to join as well. I plan to make around 50 for myself, 50 for a thing at church in which we sell them (I do use the SU! copyright stamps-don't worry) and then about 20 or so Thank you Christmas/Winter cards.
I don't want to win a prize just be motivated to finish early!! This is a great idea!
Hi All: I am one of those who was guilty of uploading on Sunday. I had no idea that there was an understanding that we wouldn't upload on Sunday, so I do apologize if I inconvenienced anyone.
I am wondering?? I know there is a resources page for different techniques, etc,. is there a section we can go to to get familiar with the "site" rules, requests, procedures, etc., ??

thanks lots
There are "stickies" at the top of a lot of the forums with site info in them. It's a good idea to go to each forum and check out all the stickies. That being said, I went looking for the No Upload Sunday announcement and I can't find it at the moment. I know Jenn (jbalcer) is planning some more announcements and ways to get the word out. It was first announced a few months ago, but I know that lots of people have not hear about it. I started a thread a couple of weeks ago and have kept it bumped up on Sundays to help inform people.
Bottom line is to give the Gallery Moderators a day off since each photo has to be manually approved. They have asked that we not upload at all on Sundays. Lots of people have gone ahead and uploaded thinking it will just get approved on Monday, but that partially defeats the purpose as they are then slammed with a boatload of images to approve Monday morning. The request is that we not upload AT ALL on Sundays.
No apologies necessary if you weren't aware. I'm one of the people on the campaign to get the word out. A number of us have put the message in our sig lines. Jenn and Beate and Cami work so hard all week!
We are up to 150 players and 75 of those finished their January cards!!!
Oh! I did too, I forgot to post!!! I'm so sorry. I don't have a pic (will take some photos soon and get a disc to get them up here). But it is a red card with a hunter green strip, a cream colored strip on top of that which I crinkled and "aged" with creamy caramel, then a lighter green on top of that stamped with "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". I did 10 of these cards. Finished at like 11:30 on the 31st, haha. Talk about getting deadline crush, lol. I'll mark it on my dayrunner so I won't forget again this month. Tam

I tend to be a bit on the "anal" side on this stuff---but Excel actually did the alphabetizing for me!;) ;) Thank goodness for technology.
Hopefully I'll get it updated tomorrow (Mondays are my day off) since we've had even MORE people join this last week! They must have been jealous that we've started our holiday cards already........
I haven't yet finished my January batch, but I finally did figure out a design for this year. Found really cool StarDream paper on Friday. Tomorrow night maybe I can get 10 of them finished.
I'm new here and to this whole forum stuff... I have been a snooping member since September and love all the inspiration I have found on this site. Anywho--I decided that since I didn't get any cards made the last 2 years due to stress, I would work on cards the last Friday of every month at our local scrapbook store's crop night. so, far so good, I have 28 cards done!! I'll have to figure out how to load pictures. Is it OK if they aren't all Stampin' Up supplies? I use the paper-they have the best-and the ink, but I use a lot of other brands of stamps.
Okay this sounds very interesting. My question is can we use retired kits and can we CASE? There are tons of cards in my favorites which I'd love to do for holiday cards for 2006. Also can we do Hanukkah cards? Also can they be cards other than SU stamps?
You can use anything you want to make your cards. The challenge is just to get them done. No rules about what you use SU/non-SU etc. CASEing is also fine (give credit whenever possible of course). Retired stuff is fine. Enjoy!
Hello,
Count me in!
Since I'm joining now, if I complete 10 by the end of February, does that count for January or February? If it counts for January, I'd like to join for January thru October (which means cards would have to be completed by the end of November?)

I finished my Jan. & Feb. 2006 Christmas Cards!!

Hi all,
Okay - I did 22 of the same card last week while on vacation in Florida! So that covers January and February. And I will still send out prizes... I haven't forgotten. Just been crazy around here! Sorry for the delay.
