ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Operation Quiet Comfort (Carolina Shores, NC)
DESCRIPTION: Quiet Comfort exists to provide physical and emotional support to America’s military men and women while they are serving in harm’s way. We also provide support to those who care for them.
TYPE OF CARDS REQUESTED: Christmas Cards. The message can be stamped but please sign your first name/city/state.
Additional Information:No envelopes.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: Please do not use any glitter or puffy paint or anything that could fall off into an open wound. Please do not include envelopes.
Another great cause. Count me in. One question as i have donated cards to military before and they had a request that cards not include words Merry Christmas but rather Season Greetings or Happy Holidays. Was wondering if this would apply here.

Diane made no mention of that for OQC either this year or in the previous years, but I will ask her to verify.
Yes, you can include Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah cards can be sent too
And for those who struggle with writing a personal message - a simple "Thank you" works great

Oh Diane thanks for letting me. In the past I have made donations to organizations that have requested not using the words Christmas anywhere on the card. Soldiers may be stationed in Non Christian countries and we needed to adhere to their culture and beliefs. Nice to know that Hanukkah cards can be sent. I have a few Hanukkah stamps that I can use.

Question... I was talking to a friend over the weekend who has cards at the ready she would like to submit. Her cards do not have glitter; however, they do have a little Nuvo Crystal Glaze on them. Would that be acceptable? Don't want her to waste her time signing them if they are not. Thank you...

Kerry, thank you for allowing Operation Quiet Comfort to once again be a
"Cause". These cards are helping filli 800 christmas stockings for ourtroops
Thank you to all members who sent me beautiful Christmas cards. I know how much time and talent went into making these cards. Our military heroes will be amazed at the artwork.

I collect Christmas and thank you cards year round. If Christmas cards arrive too late for this year’s holiday shipment, they are held for next year. It gives me a head start for 2024
