I received the email below from Lana @ W.H.E.A.T. and wanted to pass it along to you:

Zella,

Hello! It's with a heavy heart that I need to let you know that we've decided to close our doors. Although the need to support our troops overseas is great, we can't find consistent, reliable volunteers to assist in sending care packages to our soldiers year round.

We're very appreciative of all that your organization does and we know that the cards were greatly appreciated because soldiers told us so.

Can you please let the group know that we don't need any more cards? And, can you please let them know that we're forever grateful and blessed by your group's generosity?

This news makes me so sad. I wish Lana and the others at W.H.E.A.T. all the best.

If anyone has a desire to create cards for service men/women to personally use, I recommend sending the cards to OPERATION GRATITUDE. It's a wonderful organization that I can't say enough about..
