A few stray pieces of glitter should be fine. See, Lee, I *told you* that stuff gets EVERYWHERE! ;)

I'm sending off 12 cards tomorrow. I just did thank yous and I tried to do some that were girly and some that were more manly...I'm finding the "manly" stuff hard to do! Took a couple of pictures of what I did, I copied almost everything from someone else so I really can't take much credit for the ideas.

By the way, this is the first time I've played with the Branch Out set. I just bought it from someone on SCS. I LOVE it!! Can't wait to use it again.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks! I'm not as happy with the way the top two in the first picture turned out, I think I need to add another color to them. I really like the bottom two in that picture and the tree card in the other picture. Wishing that I'd made some extras for myself while I was at it!

Thanks! That's one of my favorites too...I "borrowed" the idea Sponge Queen. Here is a link to her card (you'll see that I pretty much copied hers exactly) Weathered Lighthouse by Sponge Queen - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I've got 5 in a padded envie ready to mail out tomorrow. I went through my cards and honestly I use glitter, glitz, etc on almost all of them! I sent about 10 to my daughter's friend who's like a second daughter to us...she's stationed in S. Korea so I wanted to spoil her first with some cards to send to her family! ;)

I will stick some cards in the mail to them. Just as an aside . . . one of my clients at work is the National Cartoonists Society (you know, the guys who draw your Sunday comics, among other things) Anyway, NCS has a Foundation and one of the projects of the Foundation is visiting various veterans/military hospitals -- and Landstuhl is one of their places to visit each year. Anywhere from ten to 15 cartoonists go on these trips. I'm going to mention this May Mission to my contact so he knows that other people are contributing to the cheering-up process for our military guys.

Hello all, I mailed 5 cards out yesterday - was told they should arrive in 7-10 days. It was a really busy month, so I hope next month I'll be able to make more than 5 cards. Thanks for this month's cause. It's a pleasure to be an encouragement to those who sacrifice so much for us. If you'd like to view the cards, follow the link below.

Thumbs up

Michelle, I got a package ready to go next week. As a brand new Navy mom, (my son is heading to Great Lakes Basic Training in less than 3 weeks now :S ) I am thrilled to be able to help. Thank you so much for letting me know!!!

well, I have 10 made, so far, so I feel good. Some tomorrow, then photo taking then hopefully mailed out on tuesday. Am proud that this is my first "challenge", and that it's one a little close to my heart.

*pats self on back*

some overdoing, some "let's try this...ooops, didn't work", but a lot of love in it, and other people probably wouldn't know there was a mistake...we generally are our own worst critics. So i chose to sign and write about 4-5 of them, and the rest will be blank for people to use themselves.

Would it be bad to write my addy on the back corner, so that if someone wanted to say thanks, they could, or could say "hey, look, Mom...this girl made this"?

sorry to make this confusing...i'm trying (and my boyfriend says I am very trying!)

First off - you DEFINITELY should pat yourself on the back!
I would not write on the ones that you are leaving blank, but the ones you have written, you are welcome to hand write whatever you would like. Operation Write Home spells out the reasons for not writing on those you intend on being mailed back home beautifully here -
We've heard from a few spouses that there was a second of shock when they opened a letter from their husband, only to see another woman's handwriting on or in the card. While they eventually figured out what OWH is, we do not wish to give ANY spouse even a second's pause to wonder about her husband's faithfulness! So please, if you do not have an appropriate sentiment stamp, feel free to leave it blank. (Blank cards are actually the most versatile ones we send - so they're GREAT!)

Sending out 9 cards in the morning (okay, it's morning now...I mean when we get up)...It would have been 10, but I found out that somehow I stamped one side, then accidently put flowers and stamped "hello" on the other. *laughs* i might have been able to get away with it, but they didn't quite go together.

I am so glad this is my first shot...I tried to upload pics of the cards, but for some reason my computer wouldn't upload them, will try on my bf's computer later...but I did take pics!

I have 14 cards and 3 bookmarks made. I still need to write my notes and get them packaged up so they won't be going out until tomorrow. I'm hoping to get some crafty time this evening and maybe get a couple more done, but no one hold there breath on that!;)
