ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Bring Smiles to Seniors
DESCRIPTION: We strive to connect the circle of life by working with schools, civic organizations, employers and individuals to decorate cards for seniors in nursing homes, assisted & independent living communities, and those that are homebound or participating in elderly nutrition programs. Our team hopes to help younger generations understand the importance of remembering those who paved the way for us, while reminding seniors that they are cared for and loved.
TYPE OF CARDS REQUESTED: We welcome cards that are store bought or hand crafted. Every day "thinking of you" type cards and holiday cards are all welcome. Birthday and Get Well cards are donated to senior communities for use with their residents as we do not have personal information on residents in senior communities. Religious messages are welcome and will be routed to faith based senior communities.
Additional Information: Envelopes are appreciated. We do keep a supply of envelopes on hand for those that are received without them. Please send cards tucked under the flap of the envelope rather than inside the envelope, as we send them to senior communities in this manner.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: Senior communities have requested that we not send cards with glitter that falls off of the card as it can interfere with machines and certain medical conditions. Glitter pens that adhere to the card are okay.
If you are writing in your cards, please sign your first name and state. Seniors like to know the name of the person sending and where they are from. You are welcome to write or print a personalized message inside the card. We ask that the card be signed with at least a first name and state if you choose.
MAILING ADDRESS: Please mail cards to...
Please place a count of the number of cards in the package on the top of the cards before sealing.
Cards to be delivered to Michigan senior communities should be mailed to:

It will be my absolute pleasure to make cards for this!
I work in a Senior Resource Center that is part of a local hospital.
Every day, we help our senior citizen patients and their family members with local community resources for things like homecare, meal deliveries, transportation, etc.
We love our seniors!!
Thanks -

We are about two-thirds through the month. Thanks to everyone who has already sent in cards. I'm sure they will brighten the day of the seniors who receive them!
I started a bunch of cards earlier in the month but now I need to finish them and get them in the mail.
I want to do a just a few more so I can fill the flat rate box. It will be out before the end of next week.
