Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I am very
excited to get started with this months sponsored group. This month will be IFOPA(International Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Association). To learn more about this diagnosis please visit http://www.ifopa.org. Here is a detailed video of IFOPA:http://www.ifopa.org/index.php?optio...tid=33&lang=en
I only learned of this diagnosis a year ago when my best friend daughter was diagnosed with this rare disorder. The average person diagnosed with IFOPA lives to be around the age of 40. I think it would really help boost their moral to know that a complete stranger thought about them and made them a card just for encouragement and hope. I hope that you will join me in this important cause to support and lift up individuals that are battling with IFOPA.
There are no restrictions for your card donations. Anything that you can do
to help and encourage would be much appreciated. Some ideas for the cards
would be: Hello, Hi, Thinking of you, Thank you, Wishing you all the
best, Greetings, Warm Wishes, Let Your Light Shine, Smile...Someone's Thinking of You, Happy Birthday(for anyone that may be celebrating a birthday), With Sympathy(for loved ones that have passed on),Get Well Soon, and Biblical messages. Please leave them blank inside. I have a pre-printed message that I stick inside each card. Please try and send an envelope along with your card, if possible.
I'll be sure and update how many cards we have donated. Feel free to
post a link to the cards that you have made so we can all see your work! :0)
Please have your cards to me no later than August 31st.
Send them to this address:
Compassionate Cards
PO Box 1145
Gig Harbor, WA 98335
Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Thank you in advance to all
that can participate! I know they will appreciate them dearly. :0) Julie.
Please note that I will be leaving July 31st and returning late on August 10th so I will not be able to respond to my emails until then. I am going to visit my grandparents in England...and a great grandmother who's 101!! My husband will be collecting the cards while I am away. If you prefer you can also hold them until the 10th and send them then. I will miss you all so much!!! Not having internet access is going to be so strange! What did we ever do in this world without the internet? God Bless and lots of hugs! Julie. XOXO
Julie - you can count on me for some cards for this, yet again, wonderful cause. I will try and do a few boat cards since I know you love them. I hope you have a wonderful time in England - what a great trip.
LOL - Nancy

I will certainly be putting some cards in an envelope to you. What a wonderful thing! I've participated in so many swaps and have received some super awesome cards, but I can't use them all up - that's for certain. I'm happy to share what I have. I love being able to donate cards rather than swap and hoard. I really think that's why God blessed me with stamping. I get my therapy and someone else gets a smile.

I have a stuffed priority mail box that I'm hoping to mail tomorrow. It contains 200 cards and envelopes. These are all older sampes and swap card fronts that I've remade into full cards. I'm happy to be able to help. I have thousands of these retired samples in my home and need to get them out there and making someone smile!! Since there are no "new" cards in the box (though many reworked ones) I haven't posted any of them to the gallery.

Thank you so much for supporting this mission. You cards are so beautiful. Don't you just LOVE D. Morgan stamps? She was one of the first stamps that I purchased. I just kept picking it up and admiring it all the time because the scene was so pretty. I like the cards you did with the wing charm and the D. Morgan stamp...so peaceful looking. I love how you did the sliding flower. I may have to scraplift that idea! LOL Thank you for the stamps as well. I will send those along to the IFOPA. I love the eggs in a basket one..."Faith is putting all your eggs in God's basket and counting your blessing before they hatch." How very true. XOXO, Julie. :0)
Your cards are so adorable! I love how bright the owl card turned out. I need to get me an owl stamp...actually I am going today! LOL I found a 50% Michael's coupon so I am heading in. :0) Your "Aren't you sweet" card is so cute with the icecream cone! The green dream card you did is stunning. It looks like you water colored it. The ribbon you used just finishes it off so nicely and makes it look so elegant. Thank you so much!!!! XOXO, Julie. :0)
Kathy from CT!!! You weren't joking when you said 200 cards!!! Wow! Thank you so much. There were so many varieties, colors, textures. They are amazing. Would it be alright if I put these on a video? I know some of them were from others so I thought I best double check with you. I love the lighthouse with the boat and on the navy paper makes it look nautical. The shell with the thinking of you really stands out with the glitter. I love the red, black and white card with the architecture and the silver twine, so beautiful! The gecko's are so cute!!! This is a really great collection for men, women and children which is perfect for IFOPA! Thank you for your support! :0)
