Yes, this sounds like a wonderful project! I'll definitely participate! I'm a nurse in a small town, so I have seen many acquaintances and friends die of cancer........and also have some great friends who are survivors!

My MIL is battling breast cancer that has spread, and I found Lydia's Project from another web site. I had a bag sent to her, and she called me in tears thanking me for sending it to her. She had been having a bad day and this came in the mail, and it cheered her up immensely. It's a wonderful project and group of volunteers.

Oh yeah, I'm in---in a house for full of rough and tumble boys, I can certainly use a little girlie card making time! Uplifting I can do that---I will play this weekend and send them off to you. This is my favorite challenge on SCS, bTW. Love having a reason to make some cards!
My niece (Cathy) is battling breast cancer and through SCS I found Lydia's Project and I signed Cathy up for a tote. Cathy has good days and bad days and my sister (Zan) said the tote cheered Cathy up. That along with the cards that many of the wonderful stampers here on SCS sent to her. Zan said Cathy has been so moved by how so many people who she has never met have been there for her.
Lydia's is a wonderful project and group of volunteers and I am working on cards to send. Again I want to thank everyone here on SCS for their thoughts and prayers and for RAKs that have helped to cheer my niece through this time.

Hi
What a great cause!! I will make some cards and mail them. I enjoy making cards that brighten peoples day. Thanks for posting such a great cause. Loking forward to the next cards for a cause. When I make my cards I will post them to the gallery.
Have been working along on my cards. So far, I have 5 of 3 different designs made. Hope to get 5 more of another design done by early next week. Then I'll get them in the mail to you. Have enjoyed doing this, knowing it will brighten someone else's day who is on this "cancer journey" too.
I just finished 20 cards. Will try to get them in the gallery, although I have never done that before. I'm pretty new here. Then I'll get them packaged up with the stamps, and into the mail on Monday. This is such a great cause! Thanks.
I think this is an absolutely fantastic idea. I have a vacation day tomorrow, first day of Spring, and I can't think of a better way to spend my day ---- my goal for tomorrow is to make some cards for this cause! I'm looking forward to doing something that may put a smile on another person's face.:-D
I have some cards made. I packaged them up and took them to the PO. Turns out I had copied the zip code wrong, so I brought them home. I had also forgotten to include envies and to take pix of the cards, so when I open up my pkg to add envelopes, I will take pictures of my creations. Maybe even tuck some more in. :-D

I have quite a stash of cards that I've gathered from swaps over the last few years. I went through them today, matching them up with envelopes and turning card fronts into whole cards. I'm trusting that no one who traded cards with me will mind that I send them on to this cause. I think I'll have about 150 cards when I'm done, and I'm going to send however many will fit into a flat rate box. Can I send it directly to the organization to save postage on your end? I want to ask them for a tax receipt, and I'd rather see you use your postage money to send them stamps rather than to resend a box I could send directly. I'll be sure to post how many cards I end up sending; will you pm me the address I should use?
I finished my cards last night! What a great feeling I had when I was finished - just thinking about how I can make a stranger smile when they get their mail ------ makes me smile!!!!!
My SIL asked me what I was working on and when I told her she got so excited she decided to make some cards too! Can't wait to see hers!!
Having some camera issues right now but I will attempt to take some pics and upload here - keep your fingers crossed.
Thanks for organizing Cards for a Cause ---- I think this is a wonderful way to "give" to other people.

What a great idea. I finally finished my son and DIL's wedding album and was reorganizing my craft room and was wondering what to do with the card fronts I have collected from swaps ... thanks for sharing your idea!
