Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I am very excited to get started with this month's mission. This month will be the Center for Elders Independence located in California. They offer a place for people 55 and older who are prefer not to move into a nursing home but health conditions make it impossible to stay in their current home. For more information, please visit their website at:
I think it would really help boost their moral to know that a complete stranger thought about them and made them a card just for encouragement and hope. I hope that you will join me in this important cause.
There are no restrictions for your card donations. Anything that you can do to help and encourage would be much appreciated. Some ideas for the cards would be: Hello, Hi, Thinking of you, Thank you, Thinking of You, Warm Wishes, Let Your Light Shine, Smile, Get Well Soon, and Happy Birthday. Please leave them blank inside. I have a pre-printed message that I place inside each card. Please try and send an envelope along with your card, if possible.
I'll be sure and update how many cards we have donated. Feel free to post a link to the cards that you have made so we can all see your work! :0)
Please have your cards to me no later than April 30st.
Send them to this address:
Cards for a Cause #17
5316 25th Ave NW
Gig Harbor , WA 98335
Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Thank you in advance to all that can participate! I know they will appreciate them dearly. :0) Julie.

Thanks, Julie. I think I'm confused. Are there two different groups that are sending cards to the same place? This link says there are 47 cards and the other says 202. This is my first time contributing and I posted on the other link that I'd sent the cards, but I guess I sent the cards to this one. Also, is it a problem that I don't have many rubber stamps, but use digital stamps/fonts instead? I am on a limited budget and just entering the card-making world. I've downloaded some free digital stamps that I was planning to use for the next group. Thanks, MizDenise, Martinez, GA
There are two different organizations each month that I help facilitate. The first is Cards for a Cause with Splitcoaststampers and then the second is Compassionate Cards which is a non-profit organization that I started. All cards are shipped to the same organization. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Have a wonderful day. Sincerely, Julie. :0)

I can ship your cards to the seperately or if you don't mind I can add them to this month for our troops. Please let me know which you would prefer. Thank you, Julie. :0) XOXO
Hi Julie !! No problem if you want to keep them for this month cause ! My mom and I are doing some more cards this Sunday and will be sending them to you on Monday. I will try a faster way of sending them to you (express posting).
