ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Send A Smile Today
DESCRIPTION: The mission of Send A Smile Today is to let cancer patients know they are never alone by regularly mailing uplifting greeting cards: from time of cancer diagnosis - through treatment - to survivorship. Cards are mailed monthly to ANYONE of ANY age with ANY TYPE of cancer in the United States and are meant to provide hope, love and support. Since 2013, they have mailed over 30,000 greeting cards to nearly 3,400 cancer patients across all 50 states. Their cards provide hope, love and support and let those with cancer know they are never alone. Monthly greeting cards are mailed straight to the mailbox of those receiving cards. Someone with cancer can sign up themselves to receive monthly cards or someone else can sign up another to receive the cards.

TYPE OF CARDS REQUESTED: They need mostly adult cards with e
ncouragement/hope/love/support themes. 95% of their card recipients are adults, 5% are children and teens.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS:
Cards should have a short sentiment inside but can be stamped or hand-written. They do not need to be long. Examples are:Thinking of you
Sending a little sunshine your way
Hope to put a smile on your face
Sending a smile your way
Our thoughts and encouragement are with you
Stay strong as you keep fighting. You are doing a great job
Hope you have a great day
Good thoughts and good wishes to you
Keep your chin up and keep fighting

Keep peddling forward (great for a bicycle themed card)

Just keep swimming (great for fish/mermaid/dolphin themed cards)

Please do not use Get Well Soon or Feel Better Soon sentiments.
Do not reference any religious words as they do not know the religious beliefs of card recipients.
Please do not send holiday themed cards.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Sign your first name inside the card so the person receiving the card will know who made it.
Include envelopes but keep them separate from the cards.
