Here's another one - it was inspired by a thread in the Demo Chit Chat forum - "Getting to know you" - started by StampinMelis. I thought I'd use my own answers to make a "deserted island" card!

Hello Stampers. It has been too many days that I've been able to accept a challenge since my DSL line went bottom up. But I'm back today and I just opted to do the challenge because I feel very
BLUE today. There is no good reason, but it is what it is. When I finished this card, I looked at it and laughed because I think my better self was trying to tell my innerself that being pressed is a great thing. Thanx for this challenge.
CHARACTER
My real problem is that I do not know the name of this stamp set. Long, long before I started your challenges, I did a couple of swaps. And one included just stamped images. I've had these for over a year but no name. Anyone have a clue? Thanx for looking and replying.

Here are my attempts. Combined the sketch challenge with the color challenge. I wasn't sure I liked my first one, so also did a second one using the same set.

I decided to use this sketch and try the heated pearls technique too. I made a giant mess with the glue and Pearl Ex...didn't help that 3 yr old DS came in while I was doing it and started pulling out supplies because he wanted to stamp too! I also didn't have a stipple brush so I'm not sure the technique came out right. Anyway, thanks for the sketch Roxie!

Here's my try at this sketch. You can't tell in the picture but the larger image is dry embossed and stenciled. I wanted a different flower for the main image - but this was the only floral stencil I have.

My first challenge (x2)!
Woohoo- now that I have a little time off I can play! I did the color challenge and the sketch challenge for the week together.
I love how these two sets complement each other so well. Sorry to see Simple Somethings retiring. This was a fun challenge- thanks for inspiring!
A daughter!
