Wow...took me three tries to do this card. And it's a Christmas theme! I think my cold is making me a bit wonky! It was fun to do the pattern paper this time. I really wanted to use this neat retro looking paper I have been hoarding!! Anyway.....great sketch. Thanks Rox! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

This was such a fun challenge and I didn't even set out to do this today but I was making a few sympthy cards and cased summerthyme64's card. That I just loved making anyway I decided I'd change a few things and do the scketch challenge.I'm really glad I did. Thank you summerthyme64 for the inspiration to do today's scketch challenge.
Here's my first attempt at this week's sketch! It was fun! I hadn't used patterned paper in a long time. I'm really happy with this one, it's different, but I like it. Do you think this could be appropriate for a young male's Birthday? Other than the "flower starts" in the border, its pretty neutral. I find it so hard to make "masculine" cards!
Anyway, thanks for looking at my card and for the great challenge! Love it. So much F U N!!!
(still in pending at midnight eastern time, and i'm off to dreamland) :-)
Here is my second card for this challenge. I had so much fun with this one and I LOVE IT!! Usually I have something to criticize myself on, but this one I am so happy with. Oops, well other than the tag was adhered crooked, LOL! This was just fun to make and I never ever thought I'd like these colors, either coral or apricot, but I have it on my list now to stock up on CS, I just have a few sheets from an assorted pack. And the ink pad, I only had markers to use for this! Thanks for looking!!
(I'm still in pending as of midnight Eastern, sorry.)
Thanks for the fun challenge! This is my second time posting a card and I see I still made a 'goof' The little white dot is from my 'pop dot' & I didn't see it until the pic was in the gallery! This is only my second challenge but they sure are a lot of fun!!! Thanks for sharing all your great cards.
Thanks Amy for helping get my link to this thread..!

Challenge first timer
This week is the time. It's time for me to take the plunge into the SplitCoast Challenges pool. I'm attempting to combine this week's color challange with this sketch challange.
Was anyone else as apprehensive as I am now when you decided to do your first challange?
I'm off to take my plunge.
----------post edited to add link to card----
Take a look at my CC47 & SC57 card and tell me what you think.

A note from the guest hostess:
When you are linking a card you need to bring it up to full view from your gallery. This means for the newbies that your card is the main big photo on the screen.
If you link just your gallery and someone comes along in the future to view this thread your card is lost from view because of all the others you have uploaded since this date.
Hence the fact that if you like comments (and who doesn't) on your work, you won't get any because they can't find it! Ive also noticed they will not look for it in your gallery now like I do and leave a comment.
Plus we are always trying to help out the newbies to stamping and these challenges really help them out. I'm all for helping the newbies, I was one once myself! Not that I'm much better now, but I try!
Okay, lecture over now! But please check your links! Thank you for reading!
Yay, I took time to play but stamped my background instead of using patterned paper (what can I say, I'm a hoarder)! Here's my Triple Challenge Prints!
I find it so much easier to design a card when I'm following a sketch. Thanks, Roxi, for doing this!

I love the sketch challenges, but it's been a while since I did one. I'm going to HAVE to do one more often...such fun! I'm not thrilled with this card (the ribbons don't quite match!) but I'll try to do another one tomorrow!
