My mom, and sister and I do challenges with each other. Sometimes they are hard and sometimes not. This one involved using paint chips with squares cut out of them!
This is such a great challenge and the cards have been some of the best I have seen in a challenge. I can't get it, usually the sketch challenge help me make great cards I didn't case, so is anyone else have a problem getting this one? Any suggestions to get over this block? Thanks from stumped in Cali

Well things are going better in the craftroom today. This was done for three challenges, sc105, wt94 and lsc97. The first one I didnt like, but the second one came out a little better. For the sc105 I used a circle. Wt94, I live a hour away for the dollar store, so I started looking through my stuff, the hard part was remembering where I got things. This dog was bought at big lots, still had sticker on it, big help and it was a dollar. Lsc97 on the second card the saying is from word stamp boy by colorbox, had to have it and never used it! The cardstock is all not stampin up, my girlfriend who doesnt stamp anymore gave me about 200 pre folded cards that I never use! Thanks for the great challenges this week, Im off to get ready for my first workshop!
I totally love this sketch. Especially the original example by hotflash. Took me awhile to complete my "entry," but here it is..... Happy Birthday.
BTW I just had to use my new Cuttlebug. Found out that if the paper has a white core, you will get white edges on some of the embossing. So, I sponged some artichoke ink over the top to give it an antique look.
I don't know how you gals get your cards done so quickly! One day (in my dreams) I will post on the day that the challenge comes out!
This sketch was fun! I think it's the first time I've incorporated non-straight edges (not including circle punches) into a card. I combined the sketch and color challenges into one card:
here is another card for this weeks sketch. Thanks to Atomicbutterfly's DH for the inspiration. I agree, tiny bubbles does look like a basketball. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This is my first challenge and I combined four of them. The ribbon is from Michaels - $1 and it is the first time I used the Thanks so much stamp. I had to cut the circles by hand - don't have the right size coluzzle or punch. I have been "stalking" SCS forever and just got up my nerve to participate. TFL
My second attempt at this challenge. I love the sketch, but I need to jazz mine up a bit. I saw the addition of the rectangle behind the circle from someone (I can't remember right now) and liked that idea. This one still is plain, but will work for my hubby. He saw it while I was beginning to make it and said it reminded him of pizza. Anything semi-round reminds him of pizza, I guess!

I thought this one was a tough challenge... and I added the color element to it too! LOL! My picture doesn't do it justice, but I'm fairly happy with the results.
Did some stamping for Valentines last night and had a chance to use this challenge with a stamp set I have owned for a long time and never used (Festive Four) LOL and to think I would have traded this set off in a heart beat if given the chance... I think it is a keeper.
I really love this sketch! Think I have made 4 or 5 cards this week using it. Here is a Valentine I did using the sketch. Also did the Ways to Use It Challenge (Field Trip to dollar store or in my case, Dollar Spot at Target).
Another Dollar Find bonanza (as my DH calls it!!). Picked up a little packet with goodies in it to make Valentines and a package of stickers. Used them in this card. (The X's & O's are metal)
So I've made about 10 cards using this sketch. But gave 9 of them away before I could scan them in.
It was pretty difficult to not add ribbon, glitter, buttons, or any other embellishments...but my FIL is not into all that stuff so I decided "sometimes less is more."
