We can rule out any program or template changes on my part, it's all the same.
As for settings, when you bring it up to print instead of clicking on print picture click on print target towards the top of the option list and see if prints to size.
I right click on the attachment while it's on the clear surround screen and choose the option.
When the site changed the feature my computer didn't print to size until I used that option, now it works fine with print target or picture...
If this doesn't work, post a thread in Site and Suggestions and maybe one of the computer smart people will have an answer for you. And whatever works, please let me know so I can add it to the printing directions.
thanks roxie, for your quick response. in my attempt to follow your directions, i inadvertantly solved my problem before i even had a chance to do what you said, lol. when i clicked on 'file', i clicked on print preview, and noticed the scale was set to 70%. simply changing it to 100% did the trick.
thanks again!

Thanks for the info on your fix Deb, that does help if someone has a problem in the future. I'm not all that computer smart so every little tip helps! ;)
Tips are always welcome. I just really appreciate everyone's willingness to help people you've never met in person. You all make me so glad to be a scrapbooker/card maker.

Hi Roxie, I am fairly new to SCS. I'm roaming around to see what I can get into! These notes re "sketches" are so helpful to me, especially with cards attached. Thanks so much.
Merle
Thanks, Rox71 and Adrian, for this invaluable document. When I'm planning cards, I go back to the sketch only sheets and find a design I like. I also have the sketch and sample sheets for inspiration.
I appreciate all the work that goes into maintaining these files and I'm very glad we have this resource. Thank you again.

I am sorry I must be having a brain fart, but when I go to the link with the master list it only has up to #244. Am I doing something wrong?
Try to refresh the page and see if that helps. Some odd things are happening since SCS updated but they are working to fix the bugs. Showing the page as you last visited it was one of them.
If you don't know how to refresh it's the double arrows right of the address bar or press the key F5 or it's also listed under view in the task bar.
Hi. I am unable to open Sketches and card photos in either Word or PDF. Help???!!
Karen
When neither type of file will open it's probably a personal computer function stopping them because they open fine for me.
Here's your alternative for viewing the sketches here at SCS. SCSketches's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Hi I am having trouble downloading Sketches & card photos (in word) 205-248, I get the previous file downloaded 115-204. Have tried a couple of times with the same result. Is there something wrong ?

I tested and the files downloaded okay for me. I would try it again and see what happens.
I had to make numerous attempts to upload these files before SCS finally accepted them when transfering to the new master thread and had never had that problem in the past. Not a computer wizard here so I have no idea if the two incidents are related!
Hi,
Thank you so much for your generosity! What a tremendous effort!
My question is regarding the measurements for the individual pieces. (I may have misunderstood or read it wrong, so forgive me!) Are they listed for each sketch somewhere? I have looked and just can't seem to find them.

No they are not listed for each sketch, you can print out the attachment and it will be to scale or I list what I used in my card description for those that prefer not to use up the printer ink.
I tried posting them for about a month but measurements are not mandatory and it confused players to see them anywhere on the challenge forum.

Thank you. I realized after I posted that you mentioned the 2nd. post. I just wasn't sure which 2nd. post, and then fumbled around some more (LOL!!) and clicked on your project. Beautiful card and such detailed instructions...thank you so much for sharing your time and artwork!
Where do I find post #2 for the dimensions? Sorry , I'm new to this? I interested in this week's(250).
Thanks,
Sandy
What is a post: (for finding the measurements location)
First there are forums, this is where the Card Sketches challenge is posted in a thread, everyone that leaves a comment is making a post.
The number is in the upper right corner of each post in the grey bar.
Sketch challenges are on Weds. as far as I know...which is posted on the lower right of the front page. That will take you to sc and then look for this week's date. The gallery link is posted in post #1...hope that helps
Also if you see a card with that layout and the keyword for the week is in the keyword line it's an active link you can click on and that will take to that week's gallery.
I tried to upload 2 cards and both didn't make it . I was told the file was too large. This has never happened to me before. How can I make the file smaller so I can upload. I don't see resizing the photo an option in MY Documents.
Thanks

I have never heard of this happening before, normally the site will resize them.
However there should be an option in your photo program not My Documents.
The site will allow 600 pixels in height and 800 in width.
I have uploaded a card in the s300 forum. It took it BUT I do not know how to put s300 the headline. When I scroll through other posted on that link I do see mine but it does not say S300. It just has whom submitted it. Very confused. I probaly have confused anyone trying to answer this...

answering your question:
Open your card to full view and click on Edit Photo located in the lower right corner of the description box.
The page will change.
Find Edit keywords in the list on the left and to the right within the box and type in SC300, Please note I have a comma after the keyword.
Scroll down and click on the Submit changes button in the center of the page.
Be patient, the changes will not appear until the gallery updates and your card will not appear in the challenge gallery until the gallery updates.
When I make a card for my SU stamp club, I would like to include a sketch for them to keep, and use their card for an occasion. But, I have no idea how to or what software I might need to design a sketch. Can you give me this information? I may not be able to do it but my DH is very capable.

I use Adobe Photo Deluxe and it's such an old version that I can't help with program functions for the newer programs, I tried in the past and it didn't help her at all.
You could save the templates I have posted in the master thread and draw on those in Paint which is standard on MS Windows. They are set to print to scale.

I take a photo of the completed card, saved it to my computer in jpg format.
Then I open up Word, insert the photo and underneath type out the directions. Works great and then there is no doubt what card the directions are for.

I email the cards to myself. I get an option to "make my pictures smaller." It doesn't really make them smaller, it just saves them in a smaller format. Then I open them in my email and save them to the desktop. That's where I leave them until I upload to SCS challenges.
Also for the person asking about making sketches of her cards for her class...I use Paint. It should be in Programs...Accessories...Paint. You can draw rectangles, ovals, circles etc. It takes a while to figure it out, but I used it this week to make a sketch to email to a friend.
Hi Rox, This may be an old question, but I just looked at the whole gallery of sketches on this link Splitcoaststampers Member Galleries - SCSketches - Handmade Cards & Crafts
And it looks like the numbering is off. The number on the sketch doesn't match the number on the text. So it's hard to know which number to use. Does that make sense?
Thanks,
Linda
That is weird, because when I click on some thumbs I get the right picture, and for some thumbs I get a different sketch. That's definitely not normal.
