Default Victoria Enmon

Some months ago quite a few members of this community sent cards to a young lady, Victoria Enmon. She had been ill with cancer for a long time.

She passed away this morning in Houston at Texas Children's Hospital. Please keep her parents Victor and JoEllen and her siblings in your prayers.

How sad for her family to lose her so young. Thank you for letting us know Karen - I'll hold the family in my thoughts.

I got this off Courtney's blog this morning. I was so sad as I had sent her a few encouragement cards. Hit me quite hard for some reason... I so glad she went peacefully.

"Victoria Enmon has Received her Wings

Here is an email I got this morning and had to share it with you.
It is written by Victoria's mother.

Early this morning at 2:15 AM Victoria Jo Enmon received her Angel Wings!Today was a difficult day for our family as we knew that her time to leave us was drawing near. We told her how much we loved her, how much joy she had brought to our lives and we told her to go on to Heaven. Victoria was very tired and she was ready to go. As she left us I told her to tell Bobby and Theresa hello! And then she slipped away. Please know that our four year battle was very long but today Victoria is cheering in Heaven! She is free of pain and discomfort. We could not have made this journey without the support of so many along the way. We continue to love you and ask for prayers as our journey comes to an end.

If you would like to send a card to the family, please send it to:

Victoria and her family have been an inspiration to this community and beyond for the 4 years that she had been battling this illness. She was a beautiful, unselfish young girl who always had a ready smile and word of encouragement for the other children who were being treated in Houston at Texas Children's Hospital. Her home town of Orange has continued to rally around her and will miss her. I know that the cards that were sent to her from members of this community meant a lot to her and to her family.

Wow what an inspirational message that MOTHER found courage to write. I'm once again I'm put in my place to ponder what really is important in this life.

What a testimonial of faith and love, even through this most difficult journey.

How heartbreaking. That letter gave me chills.
....life is so short and precious.

Thank you, Karen, for updating us.

I heard this on my local tv station this morning, and it really made me sad. Life is very precious, and I cannot imagine losing a child.

Copied and pasted from my blog:
I did want to pass along an email I just received. It is from a very dear friend of mine, Chrissy. She is the one who brought Victoria to my attention in the first place. Anyway, Chrissy attended Victoria's visitation and... well... read below:

hey - was at the visitation tonight for victoria - her mom grabbed and hugged me for the longest time and thanked me for all the wonderful cards - she said they had so much fun looking at them and trying to figure out how they were made and she would love to learn to make them...she even asked if we ever have parties! I told her one day when she was ready we would show her how to do them....but she was so specific and so happy about the cards I just had to pass on the thanks to you...how sweet of you to work so hard on creating these happy memories that joellen will have forever...please pass on to the blog that they were thanked personally for each and every card and prayer. Joellen said they were praying for a miracle, but the real miracle is that they had Victoria for 15 years and are so grateful for it all.

Thank you all for helping to make her smile!
