I received a very sad email from Lynda (Grammylyn), a good friend of Joanne's. She asked that I share some very sad news regarding Joanne with the SCS community.
Joanne had a massive heart attack and passed away on Friday. Many of you were touched by Joanne. She was a kind, thoughtful, generous and fun-loving person, not to mention a very talented stamper. She was full of life and such a pleasure to know! I only wish I would have had the opportunity to meet Joanne in person.....
I remember when Joanne's mother was so very ill. We all sent cards to Joanne's mother to lift her spirits and Joanne was so thankful to all of us for that. Her mother passed away not long after that and I am sad to say that now she and Joanne have been reunited.
If you would like to send the family a card please pm me or Lynda (Grammylyn)
Joanne, you will be missed my friend! Thank you for being you!

I was absolutely stunned and so very saddened to learn about Joanne's passing. She truly was a sweet woman. She and I would talk about our love for stamping and the debilitating effects of our arthritis. I remember when we sent cards to her mom when she was so ill, and Joanne was so appreciative of our doing that. Joanne was a very kind-hearted soul and sent me cards during my recuperation from my surgery. I'd like to share this really cute one that she sent to me:
Oh I am just so heartbroken over Joanne's passing. I truly loved her as a person. She sent me so many RAKs and praise God I always hold onto my RAKs. I am crushed.

Charlene...that was such an adorable card! What a great idea to honor Joanne here by posting some of her wonderful cards! Here is one that she made for me and I have a very special spot for it in my stamp room....
I am so sorry to hear. I too didn't know her, but one of my first RAK's was from her and it made me smile. I still have that card after almost 2 years.
This is so sad --
but it serves as a reminder to all of us to show appreciation to those that we love and admire. . .
So sad. . .
Thanks for letting us knos
SCS is such a neat community. Even though I didn't know Joanne, it still makes me sad to know that one of the members is no longer with us. Off to go check out her blog...
I'm sorry to hear such sad news. It's never an easy thing to hear. I'm glad that she was loved and appreciated as a part of this wonderful stamping community. Many blessings and hugs to her family.
