A few weeks ago there was a discussion about whether these paints were still available. Today Leslie Ohnstad announced that they are starting production of a special selection of the 30ml jars in a limited range of colors. A little pricey but she also mentioned that they will be starting production of the smaller jars in the not-too-distant future. Good news for those of us who love these metallic paints.

I'm delighted to see them returning. I don't need any because I got extras of my most-used colours before they stopped producing them, and so far I've only needed to open four or five of those so I'm still well-stocked.
I still have mine as well and used them just last week. So glad to hear they will back in production again. Here's hoping for more and revived techniques to use them.
I also have quite a few of them and made a "palette" by removing all of the covers and hot-gluing the pots into a stacking storage unit. It has worked well for me although it's been a while since I've used them. Now, I'm inspired to get them out.

That's a great idea.....

I still have mine too........they are in a document case that's about an inch thick........perfect size for the amount I have. I always liked them and often think about getting them out but haven't done it so far. Maybe I just need to take them out and put them where I can see them!
Just a note- I store mine in the old clamshell SU cases. I have a lot of them and they fit nicely. You can see the colors, which is a plus.
You know it seems many of us old school crafters are coming back around to our original creative passions and gaining a fresh new excitement for it!! I pray it continues....Creating is something very special to the soul.

that’s what I did with mine, too. I actually “met” someone through SCS and she sent me the colors she had because she didn’t use hers. We still mail occasionally, and that was a few years ago.🙂
Oh I have LOTS! Happy to see them make a comeback. I forget to use them but they’re great and I’ll never get rid of them. I store mine in the shallow Iris cart drawers. On pieces of poster board cut to fit the drawer, I mounted thin strips of adhesive-backed Velcro (hook side) and then on the bottom of each pot a small piece of the loop side. Pretty cheap DIY solution and works well. Many pots fit on one board and I can get 3 boards in a drawer if I take lids off the pots (not really needed as the paints are solid when dry).
It's fun to hear of a product returning instead of being discontinued. I never happened to see these IRL across the years, so I have never tried them ... ... yet.

I have the lids off mine too, since they are stored in something similar to what rockybeta describes. That keeps the dust off them and makes it easy to see the colours. Gold lives on my desk permanently because that's what I use for spattering.
I'm glad to see that my post has generated so much interest! H2Os have been around for quite a few years. Since they were introduced, so many companies have come out with metallic watercolors. One thing I did learn from a company rep was — don't put the lids on until the paints have dried because that will encourage mold growth. If you don't use the lids, no problem, but if you do, just wait until they are dry to put the lids on. I do store mine with the lids. I use a 12 X 12 scrapbooking storage box for mine. I lined the bottom with double sided carpet tape (very sticky). I used a 12 X 12 piece of white cardstock divided into 1 inch squares and painted a sample of the color inside of the square that corresponds with where that color is in the box. I added the name of the color in the square. This makes it easier to find the color I want without taking the lids off. I've had the same H2Os for years and have never had a mold problem. (Just a side note, I'm also a watercolor painter and I learned about the mold issue early on — let the paint on the palette dry before covering it. I also stored the palette in the refrigerator. It took a while for my husband to accept that, lol!!)

I had to throw all mine out because of mold, so yes, definitely let them dry before putting on the lid!
