Does anybody know when the SU catalog for Fall/Winter 2008 will be available? I was hoping for July 1st but am hearing it has been delayed. When can we expect it?
A couple of reasons, I think. One is the company is still having growing pains with getting used to two big catties a year. Another is they are revealing the new catty to SU convention goers at the end of July. Plus they will be pushing next year's Spring/Summer catty later into January so this will make it closer to 6 months per catalog.
Thank you so much. I've been asking everyone I know for a reason and had not gotten any ideas. I guess it helps to know why, but I still am dying for my catty fix!!! Have a great night!
Thanks for sharing! Does anybody know if there are significant price increases? I'm just wondering if I need to stock up on CS and various stuff...
I personally haven't heard of any (other than the increase in minimum shipping that has already happened). But the demos aren't privy to information like that ahead of time.

The first people to see if there are or if there aren't price inceases (other than those at SU corporate) are demonstrators and guests who attend this year's SU Convention. That's where they are "unveiling" the catalog. Other demonstrators will be receiving their complimentary catalog or ordered catalogs in the mail or via UPS sometime after Convention goers see it first.

Just wanted to say welcome to SCS!!! Noticed you are a new poster. If you have any other questions just be sure and ask!! I live in New Richmond which is in Clermont County down by the river. I just got a new customer at my last stamp camp who lives out your way. My BIL and my niece and nephews live in West Chester.

Unveiling the Spring/Summer Collection on Jan 1 was a total nightmare! There was too much going on in December to manage retired items, pre-orders, and new merchandise during that time of the year.
So the Fall/Winter Catalog will be revealed at national convention in mid-July and available for everyone else on Aug 11 - then the Spring/Summer Catalog 2009 will push later into early February when the crush of the holiday season is over.
the only thing that I have heard for certain is that the stamps are ALL die cut in the new catalog. A few of the old sets that have to be used up will not be. Once they use the supply they will get the new sets of the same also die cut...so very exciting!

I think they are phasing them in more slowly. There has been no official announcement that all sets will be die cut. All mini-catalog sets will be die cut - that was announced earlier in the year.

The first date to order from the Fall/Winter is Aug 11.
The first date to order from the Spring/Summer is Jan 19.
They are not exactly 6 months apart, but are unveiled at more convenient times than last year. Also, Convention goers and Leadership goers will get the new catalogs first.
FYI, Sale-a-bration will be Feb 1- March 31.
Whoo hoo...come on July 1st! I'm dying to buy some new stamps, but I want to wait to see what's in the new catalog before I spend my very limited stamping budget!

Is there anywhere we can get a peek at the new catty? Dying to see!
Demonstrators are waiting not so patiently to see it, too, but unless you work at SU corporate, you won't be seeing it or hearing about it until SU's Convention at the end of July/beginning of August. Even demonstrators who aren't attending convetion will be waiting around with everyone else for news/leaks from Convention because we won't likely be seeing the catalog until August 11-ish when you can start ordering from it.
There is supposed to be a preview catty July 1st. Until then we are all waiting anxiously.
Demonstrators will have a sneak peak at some new items that they can order, plus some hostess sets - all on July 1 ... but there will not be a preview catty this year.
This is not correct, there will not be a preview catty this year.
Correct. To clarify, the July 1 sneak peak is for demos to preorder so we can have samples ready to go. There will not be a hard copy - it will only be online. The Fall/Winter Sampler (replacing the Preview Mini) will come out at the same time as the regular catalog so demos have smaller books to give out to prospective customers and they can order as soon as they get it without waiting a month. It will also list some specials for customers and hostesses like the Preview did last time.
Can someone tell me how to get on the SU mailing list?
There is no "SU! mailing list" ...
But ..
... if you already have a SU! demo, then ask her to put you on her mailing list.
... if you don't have a demo, use the Demo Locator on the SU! home page (www.stampinup.com) to find one near you. Then ask her to put you on her mailing list.
or ...
... sign up as a demo, and you get in on the announcements first ;)
