Default Stampin Up's newest retired list...

Have you seen the new list? It came out today and is posted on the SU website (Stampinup.com) I have to say how very disappointed I am that 4 of my sets are retiring and I just bought them this season! Highly upset that a brand new set that came out in this catalog (winter 07/0 is also retiring. I bought that one thinking it would be around at least a year and well.... it lasted 6 months....How very upsetting. The good news is they aren't retiring all that many!

Why be upset? Celebrate the fact that you have 'em. They could be highly desirable when they're no longer available!

Which set is it that is retiring that only came out in this catalog? Do note that some of the sets on this list are NOT retiring, just going dormant.

As a demo the sets that say dormant beside them is because they are not currently in the catalogue but are on the dormant list, so they are actually really retiring and will no longer be available after Jan 18th 2009.
The actual Dormant list will not be out until the new catalogue is available
and the retired accessories list will be available Jan 5th 2009.

Lastly I am not sure what set you are thinking was only around for the six months because I only see Beautiful life that was on the Dormant list for the last 6 months but was still available.

Still it is always sad to see loved sets go BUT you don't have to stop using them if you don't want to (although I do...lol) and like the lady before me at least you already have them so think of the money you will save not having to buy 4 sets at this time when lots of people don't really have the extra cash due to the holiday.

Oops, my bad. I read it as these were going dormant. I didn't look at the actual catalog.

I guess I didn't read the flyer too closely, either.

Of course you can be sad and disappointed. Everyone is entitled to their own feeling about retiring/retired stamp sets.

Which stamp set are you referring to? If a set came out in the Winter 07/08 (right now we are in the Winter 08/09 catalog) then it has been around for a year. I believe that is all a set is 'guaranteed' to be around for...but many last much longer.

It came out in the spring summer 2008 and only lasted till this catty... FALL WINTER 2008. So it was only around a year, upseting since so many others have been around since I started using SU. Anyhow it is my feelings and I never liked how they switched to 2 catty's a year and they still cost the same. Sooooo... I'm sad, doesn't matter that I already bought them... and there are a few more I would like on the new retired list but I'll have to let them go because even with the 10% off through my demonstrator, I have other things and people to buy for the Holiday season who do not stamp!

Default question ?

So if it's now currently on the dormant list but not listed there on the retiring list then it's still going to be available ? I want the Pretty Amazing but wanted to get it later on so now I'm wanting to make sure it's not retiring. Thanks for your help. Happy Stamping !!
