Thanks for the additional information -- we have a TNS file with 533 recipes entered. The recipes were never submitted, nor did we ever receive an order form.
Just so all of you know Karen is trying to get me the info to sign on to the account and see if we can save this project if there is still an interest. Since I am retired and have a lot of time on my hands I would be happy to try to finalize this project. However, since Catie never paid them for anything we have no upfront money to place the order and depending on how much they need upfront it would require pre orders to accommodate this. Let me know how you would like to see this thing progress.
If this project moves forward I would still be interested in preordering.
Thank you for inquiring with them, and working toward getting this completed.
Before it goes any further. . . we've been watching and waiting, too, and would like to chat with whoever decides to take the project on before any decisions are made. If that person's you, send me an email and we (me, you, Lydia, Wade) will talk.

Me too!! If this project can indeed move forward somehow, I surely would love a Splitcoast cookbook! Thanks to both pg57 and Jenn for the effort to revive.
I signed up years ago to be on the "list"
Still interested - never did understand why a deposit of some sort was not reqd - most companies will not deal with you without money upfront...
Since Catie is no longer posting I don't think we will ever see the proceeds from the first cookbook. Her last posting she said she was on her way to drop off a check to the publisher, I know after talking to Morris Press that never happened nor did they ever receive an order for the cookbooks. It is sad that she never forwarded everything to someone else in the group. But then again we don't know if she just disappeared or if something really happened to her. We just need to move forward from here because we can't change what has happened. Personally I'm not sure this was intentional because she told people not to send money to her and returned it to people that did send it to her. Just really not sure what the real story is here. I am waiting to hear from the moderators as to how they would like us to proceed.
I'm waiting to hear back from Catie. She contacted me, wanting to talk, yesterday and I emailed her right back. I hope to have something to share soon.
I'd signed up a couple of years back, and was told thatshipping outside US should be OK if I bore the postage. I'm still interested if this goes ahead.
Happy to hear this idea is rolling again! So many contributed their recipes and had signed up - Will their be a thread to start signing up again - or do we do it here as a pre-order for you to get numbers?

If you want to pay the additional charges for shipping outside the US that would be fine. Still waiting for the go ahead and will post as soon as I hear anything.

either way - I want in!
I am keeping track of anyone that wants a cookbook. Just send me an email so I can put it in the file. I am not sure that we will b able to add any more recipes to the cookbook. Right now there is over 500 recipes, although I am not sure how many will be in the cookbook. Each of the recipes have to be proofed and because I don't have the original files that is going to take a little bit of time, although I promise not years. I will let you know if we can add more recipes.
Hello!
I had a talk with Wade and Lydia yesterday afternoon and we discussed everything that's transpired in the last several years (Volume 1 was a hit, plans for Volume 2 were made, recipes were submitted. . . and there was waiting. The site was sold. Everyone waited. The site was sold again. And there's still waiting. . . ) and the best way to proceed with Volume 2.
So, here's what's going to happen.
We're going to leave the past in the past and move forward with Volume 2, but it's going to be done a little differently this time around. Morris has given Peggy access to all of the recipes and will be working with Lydia (Peggy, look for a message from Lydia!) to jump-start this project and get Volume 2 into the hands of those of you who actually use your stoves and ovens. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from them once they have details to share. It's gonna be great, y'all!
Big thanks
to Catie for talking about pies and all things yummy back in the olden days and getting people interested in sharing their favorite recipes, and to all of you reading for your patience.
Ok Ladies, here we go. I promise you will receive updates regularly. I have copies of all the recipes. I also have names of everyone that submitted recipes. I am currently compiling a database to combine the two. That will be done by the weekend as I am already half done with it. All the recipes that were submitted have to be proof read. So if you submitted a recipe expect to get an email from me regarding the cookbook. Once the recipes are proofed they go to the publisher. Wahoo!!!!!

A round of applause for pg57!!!!!! Sent you a pm to put my name on your list of pre-orders, I didn't submit any recipes (before my time) ;)
I'd like a cookbook as well. Version #1 was great, and I have been anxiously awaiting Version #2. Thanks so much for taking on this big task!
