anyone holding a card making day event ?

I think i am going to try i am in florida so nervous though never did it

any ideas?

My upline and I reserved the community room at our local library we will have 5 stations people can come and go as they please $1 per card and they can make as many as they want ( they will be kept simple) my daughter is comming with us to give " tattoos" to the little kiddies while mom stamps and we will have a donation box for a local school teachers whos school just burnt down also giving out mini's refreshments and having a sign up box to be on my mailing list HTH

I've reserved a room from 10 - 4 and my monthly cardmaking group are getting together for a marathon Christmas card making session! We're all bringing our own supplies so there'll be lots of swapping going on.

I'm going to organise a surprise draw for a bit of fun. We'll all bring food as well and have the CDs on - so a happy time will be had by all!

That all sounds great.

I don't have anything round my way but as it's a Saturday I'll try and make loads of cards that afternoon.

Ruth I am so envious of you being in Burgess Hill so close to The Glitter Pot - I'm actually going to visit it next week, I'm so excited and have a two page list of wishes (I always usually buy from them online have never visited their bricks and mortar shop before).

Hi Valerie - I know, being near the Glitter Pot is fab, fab, fab! I have to rely on friends taking me though, but I get to visit fairly regularly. It's a wonderful shop and Bryan and Carolyn who own the shop are great people too. I did a class there a couple of months ago - their class room is lovely.

I'm going next Thursday as I have a set of clear Penny Black stamps ready for collection. I also need to get some Doodlebug black and white papers for my monthly card group to use for altering note books. I'm sure I'll find a few other things to tempt me - but if they don't have much stock on the shelves on Thursday, I'll know who to blame LOL!

Remember to take your camera, they're quite happy for you to take pics of the cards they have on display. Have a great time!

I was thinking of trying to organize some kind of stamp-a-stack and ask for Holiday card donations for our troops. Still trying to come up with the details though.....

If anyone has done anything similar, I'd love some suggestions
