How can a cropadile die? what could go wrong? Just curious, just got one for Christmas, and would like to know what to look out for.

I have heard the spring breaks in them after "prolonged use," I suppose.

Kelly, yes the new one punches holes, too. I, myself, will be glad to get mine, if just for the long reach! I really like my regular one, but have been frustrated, sometimes, because of the limited reach.

Default New Crop-a-dial question

I just got my "Big-Bite" and was playing around with it. The eyelets are a dream to set. However, the gromlets they sent say you don't need to punch a hole first, so I set a test one and thought a hole would be punched while the gromlet was being set. But it doesn't punch a hole --- does that mean I have to cut out the center of every gromlet I set??? Is there something that I'm missing? Thanks.

I am not too sure, but I think the gromlets don't have a hole... are just circles of metal (with the prongs fastened on the back) put into some kind of solid paper, fabric, tin, or whatever. Correct me, somebody, if I am wrong....

I just got mine and it doesn't line up to punch the holes. If I tweak it a little It will punch one hole but not the other and the same with the other one. I can't keep tweaking it every time I punch something. I'm sending it back. Any one else having problems with it?

Mine lines up fine. Yours must be defective. At first mine wouldn't punch, but I pushed hard several times through CS, and now it is fine.

I already have it, from HSN. They had a special on it for $39.
It will sit on the table and is still light enough to hold by hand.
You can punch up to 6".
