Aloha everyone. I am so excited! I just received my first two sets of Stampin Up stamps! I feel like I am officially a stamper now Ok, I'm off to stamp my little heart out Just wanted to share the excitement.
Have a great time. I remember my first purchase. What a thrill. Come to think of it all of my purchases are a thrill when it has to do with a new stamping product or embellishment. Enjoy.
OK since I have to wait a while for my purchase, I am going to live through you... what did you get??? My first purchase was Artfully Asian and I have been hooked ever since (my pocketbook hates me).
Congrats on joining us in this wonderful addiction!

Thanks everyone! I got two retired sets...Made from Scratch and Delightful Doodles. I thought they were too cute and would be great for me to develop my technique with. I was just surfing through some sketches to try them out!
I'm putting in another order tonight or tomorrow. I'm finally becoming a demonstrator - through my best friend so she'll be my upline. Lol. I'm getting the starter set (free family of stamps!!) and the add on kit...plus the whole set of markers...plus the 3 for you punch kit (free lovenotes!!). Then my best friend and two other girls are putting in orders so I'll be able to get all my hostess stuff...not to mention all the stuff I got at the party! Lol. I'm addicted. Hopelessly.
It's definitely addicting!! Even now, I am sitting by my window anxiously awaiting the "man in brown" (aka my new best friend) to deliver my first demo order!!! What's bad is when you dream about stamping every night!! ;) Enjoy!!!
Oooh. Beware. You just opened Pandora's box. There is something addictive in there. Not sure if it is the stamps or the inks, but once it's in your blood stream there is no cure.
This is great be sure to upload your cards. I never purchased a stamp set and when to a demo. I just signed up as a demo by email of a friend at work. Hadn't even met my upload either at that time and have been happily stamping for over a year now and love it! But it does come with a warning! Causes an empty purse and sleepless nights! Enjoy the wonderful life of stamping!!!
whether it's my first box or my 200th...I'm always like a little kid on Christmas
morning when Dave, my man in Brown, brings a box!!
Have fun...I'm pretty sure your second box will arrive shortly! lol
I know exactly how you felt a year ago when I got my first stamp set. Know Im so addicted to it that Ive become a demonstrator. Im just loving it. Enjoy!!
I just purchased two more sets yesterday. Went to Archivers. I can not wait to use them. My purchase yesterday were the clear stamps. I have only used this type of stamp once in the past. I can not wait to get the time to play with them.

Wow, it's your first, but it definitely won't be your last. Some advice. Start cataloguing right away. I make two copies of the set before I mount them. One copy I tape to the box just in case it falls and spills out so I will know which stamps belong to which set. it is helpful when you loan them out or use them to demonstrate to be sure you get all of them back. The second copy i tape to a sheet of paper with the name of the stamp set and the cost. I also give it a number so it will be easier to find in a drawer of 40 or more. I record it on an Excel sheet with the name of the set, the catalog and page number it came from, the cost, and a catagory such as Christmas, Halloween, Winter, Sayings, etc. That way you can call up all the Christmas sets to decide on which ones you want to use, etc. I give the copy I taped to a piece of paper in a notebook in alphabetical order so I can easily find it if I want to locate a set I remember the name for. The piece of paper has the number of the stamp set and the drawer I have it in. This may seem like a lot now, but this is really addicting. I found Stampin up a year ago and I probably have 300 sets by now because I do a lot of internet shopping for older sets. Believe me it is easier to do it when you first start then to do it when you have 300 sets. Hope this helps. Welcome to the club. You'll have many happy days ahead.
