I am soooo excited! Just got an email this morning that my Crop-a-dile II Big Bite has been shipped! They say it should be here in 7-10 days! Quicker than originally stated!

What the heck??? When did you order? I ordered during the first part of the first showing. I haven't heard anything other than the other things I ordered have been shipped. (WHY can't I have more self control, lol? ALL I wanted was the new CAD...and I wound up purchasing SIX items altogether!)
I got mine for $39.95 through HSN, but I don't know about prices elsewhere. (actually $45.90 with shipping). It was a daily special. Maybe do a google for it to find out. I really love my crop-a-dile, but didn't like the short reach, so I am looking forward to getting this!

I got an email this am that mine has shipped also! I ordered at 7am, and was originally told it would be around the 4th of Feb - so was VERY happy when I got my email! I ordered the case too and that is still on backorder. Can't wait to play!
I was just told by someone on another group that when they come public (in the stores), they will be double...$79.99. Anyone know if this is true? Not sure it's worth that myself
I think HSN pulled that MSRP figure by adding in the cost of the extra eyelets and grommets that come in their kit. All by itself, the Big Bite will be 39.99 at full retail price.
The guy that was doing the demo on HSN that day, said in several of the shows (saying that only because I saved them all on the DVR and watched them) that when it gets in the market place that the CADII alone would be the price that HSN was offering it for at $39.95. I figured I'd wait and use a Hobby Lobby coupon for the 40% off.

I got mine via UPS today! This baby is really cool, you have to have one! The original one is awsome, but sometimes I can't get a good grip on it because the handles are too far apart. With the big bite, you just push on the handle, and it is so easy! It came with a bazillion gromlets too in tons of colors and sizes.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I WANT MINE NOW!!!! I ordered about 8:30 CST on the day they debuted! I am sooooo excited and glad that I *finally* waited for a new tool! (I don't have the original CAD....)

I am afraid it is no longer on HSN- it was a daily special. The one you saw is the regular Crop-a-dile. You can get that one cheaper now in Michaels or similar stores, especially with a coupon. The Big Bite will come out in February or March in stores, I think.

What all does this new Crop-a-Dile do besides punch holes farther reach than the previous model? For $40 it should do more than just punch holes and set eyelets. I have the original Crop-a-Dile and will stick with it and the Silent Setter. They work for me. I don't use enough eyelets to justify $40 for one gadget that only does one thing.
Well, I guess that is why I bought it, because of the far reach. I had trouble doing some projects because of the original CAD. And I don't have a silent setter and hate pounding with my old setter. I don't know... maybe I had more money than brains at the time I ordered it... but I plan to have fun with it anyway!

Oh well, I can wait. I'll have to google it to see a picture. Thank you for responding....

I would recommend this new Big Bite Crop-a-dile to anyone who has arthritis, carple tunnel syndrome or any other hand issues. The original one is great, but the span of the handles is a bit too far for comfort.
I got mine yesterday! It is HUGE! I feel like I have a giant staple gun a home builder would have! I wonder if this thing comes with an air compressor attachment!!
I tried the gromlets....I actually used them on a jacket of my daughter's and it worked quite well! I went through several layers of fabric too! I don't expect it to last forever but I think it will last quite a while!
I don't love that the gromlets have to be set upside down, but I don't plan to use a lot of those. I will with out a doubt still use my original cropodile! There are a few things that it will work better on, smaller spaces, etc., but I don't think I will regret having both!
I plan to keep my original Cropadile - fits well in my travel tote, and is nice for small projects. I LOVE this big bite - the grommet setting is nice, plus it is lots easier on these poor ol' arthritic hands! I needed something quiet - my dh is a shift worker, and it seemed like I always needed to set an eyelet when he was sleeping!
