I was in our BX today and noticed they had lots of Martha Stewart stuff, punches, scrapbooks, embellishments. Can't remember what else as my 5 and 7 y.o. were more interested in food!
They had them in the PX in Korea too. I haven't checked here in AZ since I've been back, I've been too distracted by Michaels and JoAnnes and all those big stores I went without all last year!
I can not wait to get back to a PX. I have been away for 3 years! If they carry that stuff now it will be a big improvement. I think that I also will be distracted by Michaels!!!
I saw that a couple of months ago! Now I can smile when I get those PX gift cards from my ILs knowing that it will support my habit. haha! And if any of the bigger stores happen to have them on sale, doesn't the PX match it?
Well Sigonella, Sicily is always going to be 3rd World ;o( However, the airforce is moving into our base and I have already started seeing improvements, maybe, just maybe the exchange will get modern stuff. I swear we are the outlet for whatever doesn't sell elsewhere!!!!! Lucky Ladies
Wow...it's been over a year since I last visited the PX and if they are carrying scrap/stamp stuff, they have definitely come a LONG way. I'm glad they are starting to carry "hobby" things for family members!

They have some Martha Stewart stuff in the Davis-Monthan BX like some punches, bone folders, glitter etc. and for those in Albuquerque, Kirtland AFB has Scrapbook papers and such but I did not see any MS stuff there this past weekend.

I know our PX has a scrapbooking section, but haven't checked it out, since we only got here a week ago and I was only there for a few things for our house. I will have to check it out once we are unpacked and I actually have a place for all the stuff I already have. The last place we were didn't have much though.
I agree with sgtStamper. They have it here in Korea. Our BX here in Osan has the MS stuff since November of last year but it was with the curtain rod section. The paperkits are almost gone now...
Claire....that's where I used to buy it. Our dinky little BX over at Camp Humphreys had nothing!
Have you been to the Alpha Store at the big market outside the Yongsan gate yet? You MUST go....Copic sketch markers are like $3.85 there and the ribbon store right next to it you could just spend hours in !!! There's a whole section of the market they call "craft alley" I could spend all day there!! (my husband not so much)

You're talking about the big flea market just off Yongsan gate, right!? I would assumed that you are referring about Namdemun market. If its a different market then I've missed it :-)... For the last 3 years I've been going to Namdemun market everytime DH had a conference in Yongsan. Three weeks ago, Copic Sketch was only $3.70/piece. I got 2 sets of 72 Copic Ciao from Oozak so I passed up for the Sketch. But the best deal I ever got from the market was a 72set of Prismacolor Markers that sells at $40 plus it was buy one take one deal. It was a very good deal that I just can't pass up. Ribbons are much cheaper now and I wished I could just buy them all. I can also stay there the whole day but DH would rather not :-).
We're leaving Osan in couple days and will be staying in DHL and would probably go back to the market to get couple craft items.
