I read that someone posted the Prima glass bottles were on sale. In addition to that there is envelopes, embellishments and chipboard books on sale. I video taped what I purchased on my blog if you would like to see what I got.
I have to tell you, I went to one of my Michael's after work one night this week and saw nothing that I really needed. Maybe it wasn't set up for the Clearance yet -- a different Mike's had the big sale banner but this one didn't. I walked out without buying anything and threw my THREE 40 percent coupons in the recycling bin.

Boy, I hope my store has all of that! I'm not holding my breath, though. We're not one of the biggest stores, so we don't usually get great deals like that. But thanks for the heads-up because I'm heading there today!
thanks for posting this. I work for michaels and am the paper crafting department manager in my store, and corporate has been marking down things to greater deals than ever before, we cvan barely believe it! Most everything that goes clearance is being marked 50 % off and sometimes more! The other week we marked down almost all the K & company paper pads, they were clearanced to 4.97, 6.97, regular 9.99,to 14.99! At my store we get excited when things get clearanced, not only to get good deals, but that also means that things are going to be reset, updated! I don't know the full extent of what will happen but there is going to be a lot of changes and a lot of new stuff! I can't wait! So check back with michaels often to see maybe even more markdowns and new stuff coming soon!
just a side note in response to readysetstamp's video: those scalloped cards that she showed are flats, there are no folded cards in that pack.
Thanks for the heads up! I popped in to Mike's today and found a few treasures on clearance too. Some Prima's and other embellishments..I wanted more but I had to stick to my budget.
Hi Jenmac820-
Thank you for this post. Wow talk about the inside scoop! :0)
just a side note in response to readysetstamp's video: those scalloped cards that she showed are flats, there are no folded cards in that pack.- I made a card and video taped it and realized it was a flat after filming the video. Still love them! :0) I'll add that in the description of the video so that I don't bum any one out. Thank you again for sharing! Julie. :0)

That is such a bummer. Maybe try and call and see if the Prima flowers, bright and neutral value pack, DCWV Scallop fronts, making memory decorative paper clips, and ask about Kay and Company items. Hopefully they will discount them soon! :0) Have a Happy 4th! Julie. :0)
A friend of mine was in Michael's today and picked up 3 Sizzix font sets for me for $14.99 a piece regularly $200.00 each! I couldn't believe it when she called me. Usually I don't pay attention to clearance sales since my Michael's never seems to have anything worth while. I guess I should start checking it out again!
My niece called from work @ Michael's today. They have the sissix alphabet sets (regularly $150.00) on sale for $9.99. She asked if my sister or I wanted any. She picked up one each of the 6 sets. When she checked out she got her 20% discount too. Our lucky day.
I ran by Michaels tonight to see what they had on clearance. I picked up about 10 photo mats, which were on sale for $1.49 each. When I got to the cash register, they rang up for a penny each. The cashier called the manager, who the refused to sell me the photo mats at any cost! I was furious!
Hi Im from London and theres no such thing as a good clearance!!!! Craft stores are hard to find. I may be visiting New York city this year, are there any Michaels stores around this area??
oh yeah, I did some damage there, I adore K and company and do not like to pay the long dollar for it and got some beautiful items for very low prices. Mostly accesories! And some things for RAKs as well.
I went today and they had so much stuff on clearance - I refrained except for 5 sizzix alphabets for $9.97 each. I will keep 2 and the others are for friends.
I went to Michael's tonight and got two Sizzix fonts and three clearlits for $15 total!! The three small ones were $1 each and the fonts were $9.99 each and the cashier let me use a 50% off coupon on one and a 40% coupon on the other!! I just love a good deal!!!

If you know the zip code of the place where you are staying, you can do a search on the Michaels' website to locate the nearest store. The web address is http://www.michaels.com/art/online/home
Click on store locator. I typed in simply New York, NY, and got this result.
It's not too helpful unless you're familiar with the NYC area (which I am not). But you can narrow your search by using a zip code. You can use the zip code (5 digits) of the hotel or wherever you are staying. Good luck!

most of the good craft store (AC Moore, JoAnns, and Michaels) are in NYC, but are not in Manhattan.
The AC Moore and Michaels I visit are in Queens. The ac moore is in Glendale and the Michaels is like five blocks away. (In Queens, the borough is broken down into neighborhoods).
Take the A Train to Rockaway Blvd, and transfer downstairs to the Q11 bus. Take the Q11 to Union Turnpike and Woodhaven Blvd (The bus stop is on Margaret Place and Woodhaven Blvd). Walk down the hill and you'll see AC Moore.
To get to the Michaels, walk back up to Woodhaven and follow the same direction as the bus. You'll walk by a baseball field, a Home Depot and a (closed) bowling alley, and Michaels is in the building with Staples.
When you're done, you can hop back on the Q11 in front of Wendy's on Woodhaven Blvd. The bus will leave you at the last stop, by Queens Center Mall, where you can catch the G, V, or R trains at Slattery Plaza/ Woodhaven Blvd station going back to Manhattan.
(You can also go the opposite way, just reverse the directions.)
hope that helps!

PS there is a Michael's opening in Manhattan, but right now, I don't know where it will be and when it will actually open. Keep checking the website though.

Just wanted to throw this out to everyone reading this thread. I went to Michaels a week ago Friday and got some great stuff. I went back on Sunday for more and the whole K & Company wall was just about wiped out. While I was there the manager wheeled out a cart and started replenishing the K & Company display with quite a lot of stuff. So keep checking in case this happens at your store.
Also, I was talking with him and he said the Michael's was getting new company products and doing away with most of K & Company. They were not going to have as much. I guess it will be a wait and see. They were putting new sheets of scrapbook paper out while I was there.
I was told there will be packaging changes within the store. In the scrapbooking area the acrylic stamp area will increase from 5 1/2" to 12'. I can't imagine. I was told also that there would be less K & Co. I know the brad section has been partially reset at the store.
Appeared to me, some of the same products within, just new packaging. Will be exciting to see all the changes!

Thanks for that once I know where we will be staying I will try searching.

Oh great, thanks so much this will really help.
NY is huge, I hope the one in Manhatten opens soon, that way I won't be trekking around NY with my husband on my back!!
If not I iwll have to leave him behind and adventure out to all the carft stores. Especially as prices are so high in the UK and I cant find half the stuff I really need.
