I had two boxes from Luminarte today! However, the boxes did not include any paints. I had ordered some of the glass ornaments. I placed the order March 16. I placed my twinkling H2O order March 11. I'm still waiting for that one and I placed an order for Primary Elements that was placed March 12.

I am in Wisconsin, I placed my order 10MAR2009. My card was charged 24MAR2009. I received my order (all 7 of the 24 count mini packs) 22MAY2009.
You placed your order the same day as me for the SAME products as me, my card was charged the day before yours and I live in MA...soooo my order MUST be coming soon right?

The tiny staff of Luminarte Inc. was fully prepared to close at the end of February. Here it is almost the end of May and we are still working hard to fulfill all your requests.

I have 2 orders yet that I have not received. One was placed in early March and the other I just placed this past Wednesday. I have faith that they will get here.
Im pretty happy that they are staying open AND we got the opportunity to order at a huge discount! Its a win win. Maybe more companies should consider doing this if they begin struggling.
I'm happy for them - I hate to see people lose their jobs, especially people who seem so nice and who are so inventive!
My problem is that I told DH I REALLY had to order these now (ordered all of the 24 packs on May 6th b/c I'd heard of them for the first time on the 3rd) b/c they would never be available again. We don't keep secrets, so I'm sure I'll end up telling him that they've decided to stay in business. Fortunately he's a VERY nice man, so I doubt he'll have me pay back our account for them with my spending $ since I certainly didn't know they would stay open. (Especially since I'd read an e-mail posted on this thread that stated that even with all of the orders they were closing!)
So, I am glad for all of the employees, etc. but it is kind of mixed feeling for me. At least I got them all at a really good price and they'll last me a long time! Can't wait until they get here!!

Does anyone see the white mixative stuff on the website - sorry I have been out hauling dirt in the hot sun and the name of that white stuff (along w/everything) has escaped me. But you can add it to another color to make it a lighter version. I looked all over this morning so I could order some but don't see it. Hope someone knows how to find it
Excuse me, this is my first response, so I hope I'm doing this right..... I think the product you're looking for, if it's for lightning up the H2O's, it's called "Oyster", and they usually sell it in both the small and large pots. So, good luck!!
FUNNY....that my husband (19 years older than I, therefore been around the block a few times) said to me when I told him all about this,
"Did it ever occur to you that this could be a ruse to get everyone clamoring to buy their product, therefore they will make a huge amount of sales, giving them a huge influx of capital, and therefore taking care of their bills?" (by the way my 23 year old son had the same thought--'cept he said, Mom if their product is great and all you art people love it so much, why would they be going out of business?)
I hate to say this...but it did give me pause, and logically it makes sense. But I gave them(Luminarte) the benefit of the doubt. But to now hear this news this QUICKLY (I thought maybe 6 months- a year they might be back) I have to admit I think I now believe we were all duped into buying skads of their product at one time.

It's their iridscents, plus oyster. I use the iridscents all the time to lighten my colors.

Even if they did this, we all got 40% off everything we bought, so it was a win-win for everyone! I personally don't think this is the case, but you never know for sure. But, no matter what, I'm happy with getting 40% off and may order more before the price goes up!

I'm with you, Janet. I spoke with someone there about the delay in my order, and she said the choice to close was due to the economy. Lots of businesses are dealing with that issue, and who knows, with the influx of orders and customers commenting about their product, they may have found a way to work around having to close down totally. I'd rather think positive about them. They produce a great product and never hesitate to give out pointers on ways to use it.

So funny, my husband said the SAME thing. He also said "every marketing scam works on you" Which is true lol...so I bought every color of twinks in the mini pots, can you believe now BEFORE EVEN GETTING MY ORDER, I am thinking 'oooh the price is going back up in mid June, maybe I should get another set?' CRAZY!

I'm just left wondering if I am going to get my order from the 26th February in time to make a decision about whether I want more and in time to still get the 40%.
At one point I had hoped I would have these for Easter, then Mother's Day, then Memorial Day... well you get the idea...
If you have not heard from them in the last couple weeks, CALL them. Their number is on their home page. They say to call instead of e-mailing so CALL! You need to be SURE that your orders were not lost. It seems they were a little overwhelmed and there should be NO orders left out from Feb. Especially since you are seeing March orders coming out. I wish you the best.

a friend of Mine was with me over the weekend, and she said she has been ordering from them for a long while, and that they were always VERY slow to ship. That is why she looks for other companies that carry the Twinkling H2Os and orders from them instead.
They make an excellent product, maybe they just aren't business savvy. Just another thought.

I asked, "so there's no way to know if mine shipped yet?" and she said "hold on I only have one shipper and he's doing something else" I was frustrated so I said that I would call back.
I thought they'd be able to track packages etc ?

I ordered 26th Feb... I think it didn't get processed til around the 10th March and its supposed to be delivered today - but I haven't seen it yet....
So they can track it after they have sent it.
However, when I have rung before I got that my order was still processing. HTH.

ALSO! My twinks came yesterday but not by the post man. They came by UPS! I've been following this whole thread and not once ever saw someone say that they came UPS, everyone always said they were stalking their mailman.
My DH brought the package in when he came home from work at 7 pm, it was sitting outside with nobody loving it for all that time lol!
So happy, they're so beautiful and officially worth the long wait!
