I am SOOOOO excited! I hardly ever beg DH for anything, but told him that I was going to play my card of "I'm a hardworking SAHM who does a pretty good job but has no way to earn money. Can I PLEEEEEASE have...."
(I generally never play that card!)
I got to order all 7 of the 24 packs of H2O's!!! I had never heard of them before, then went to visit my demo (and best friend) this past weekend and she had some. I was in love!!! I figured with the 40% discount, $1 per color (without the shipping of course) was just TOO good to pass up. Guess I'll really have to watch what I spend and be as close to the "perfect" wife as I can get!
I know it may take forever for them to get here, but that's okay - just means I have something to look forward to for a while!

I ordered mine the last part of February! I called last week and was told they were out of stock of the 24 pks ( I ordered 2 pks of them) She told me they could substitute 4/ 12pks for the 2/ 24pks. I said sure that would be fine!! I received them on Monday of this week!!!!! Haven't had any time to play with them yet!!

As far as storage, I've got a storage box (I think it's Black & Decker -- anyway it's orange and black in color) that has four individual boxes that each have dividers in them. I sorted mine by color and they fit perfectly; I have them on their sides so I can see the colors. I ordered some of the larger containers of a few colors that I thought I might use more often and I'm hoping they will also fit. It's handy as there is a handle so I can take it somewhere and it sits nicely on a shelf. I saw something similar this past weekend at Home Depot but it wasn't arranged exactly like mine is.
FYI - I forgot about my order! I checked and had received an email from them mid April - but no package. Emailed them to check.... and got a bounce back message that their mailbox was full.
So - if you want to know something about your order - I would suggest calling.

Yes I called the other day - I'm quite happy at the moment and she asked me to hold (I presume so she could get the appropriate page open on her computer as she wasn't very long) and then took my name to look up my order.
I'm glad they are still able to make hay while the sun shines! and I hope my order gets out of production soon!
I'm excited because according to the last email I got from Luminarte my twinks will be shipping today. The email stated that orders placed between Mar 1 and Mar 10 will be shipped on May 8. I ordered on Mar 10, so I am hope hope hoping that it's really true this time.

 Good luck! I ordered February 26th and mine are still in production. I'm ok with that. I'm just tired of waiting when other people ordered at the same time and are playing.
I am very concerned because my credit card was charged on 3/19 so I only have a few days left to do a dispute
I am unsure what to do
I got a "snotty" email from someone at Luminarte who essentially said I had to be patient because I ordered during a 40% off sale. No indication when or if I will ever receive my order
I personally think they have handled this very poorly.

I too was on the verge of canceling my order - I was billed on March 11 and I finally did receive my full order last Tuesday. I'm really happy that I have them and I was going to order the rest of the sets to complete my collection but I've decided not to do that. I agree that they should have been better equipped to handle this situation, or at least been able to "adjust" to it better than they have. I've been a small business owner for 25 years and customer service is everything these days and in my opinion, they've really failed to provide it.
That said, I think that everyone will eventually get their order - I wouldn't worry about that....the wait is excruciating though.
i think the customer service has not been superb but i don't think that it has been bad either. i too am a small business owner and so i feel their pain. i am perfectly happy to wait as opposed to not getting them at all. and i see no reason to worry about not getting them - the wait is just bad. i think they have handled it fairly well and kept us informed - i don't feel worried and i don't stalk my mailman - they'll get here when they get here. we know approx. what date they are on. we also know there were some problems with some of the production and that held things up on some orders. calling and pestering them has got to be SO annoying for them when they just want to get them shipped and not keep answering the same thing over and over. i wouldn't worry about them not coming at all!!
My credit card was charged in February and I did not receive my order until about 2 weeks ago. Whenever I have called them or emailed them I always received a courteous response. I know that the emails should have gone out a lot sooner, telling everybody that it would take a lot longer than one normally could expect. The last time I called, before my order arrived I was told that they had over 1000 orders. Something I was not aware of either was, that the paints have to try. Even though the pots are small, I realized that it would take days or longer for them to cure. So it is not a matter of making the paint, pouring it and out the shipment goes. Also, they are a very small company and don't produce tons of paint like Sherwin Williams.
Ladies, I do understand your frustration but please be patient. The company only employs a few people and I am sure you will get your beautiful Twinkling H2O's. I am so happy with the 72 that I received.
Also, I am not affiliated with them or will I receive any special treatment from LuminArte.

I really appreciate your response. I need the reassurance but I am still not sure about not disputing the charge.
I am glad others had responses. This is the response I got from Leslie Ohnstad when I emailed: Lynn,
You ordered on a 40% off sale
We cannot charge and ship same day
We are receiving thousands of orders and then there individually entered...
If you paid March 19th... we still about 7 business days out... I will look into this for you

I ordered on February 25th, was charged on March 7, and received my order on Thursday (May 7).
when i spoke to them on friday they had over 2000 orders and only a few employees trying to get them entered, made and filled. they will come - it's just so hard to be patient!

I know that this may be my last chance to get this product that I've fallen in love with. I don't stalk the mailperson either. I'll just get a present in the mail one of these days.
Hang in there, ladies. If you order ... they will come.
I am from Canada as well and I received mine last week, however, on top of the $18. US shipping charge I got hit with another $18. duty. This was not a savings for me in the end, but, I am happy with the product.
Wow.. Canada really hits you with some heavy duty charges.. I have a friend in Canada, she used to live here in the states and then they moved to Canada.. I send her gifts ocassionally and sometimes she gets a duty on them and sometimes not.. She tells me that her shipping when she buys stuff state side is pretty high but doesn't really complain because she says the price of things up there are so much higher that it usually still cheaper this way... LOL
I'm glad you got your H2O's and are enjoying them, I can't wait till I get mine!!

This is sad to hear. I hope you all get your orders soon. I had the opportunity to get these when they first come out, before they were even made public! Wish I had them now, but they're in storage. :( I miss my radiant pearls too--also in storage.
I ordered 3/1, just called and she said they are shipping today! yay I have never seen these things before but you all seem to love them so I can't wait to play.
I don't understand how duty can be charged for a product made in the USA. It is my understanding that because of the free trade agreement duty is only charged if the items were made outside of North America.

We're not actually charged duty on products, we're charged two taxes on the value stated on the package - a provincial sales tax and a goods and services tax. In British Columbia that's a total of 12% in taxes. In addition to that we're charged a $5 handling fee. All that on top of the poor exchange rate. It can get pretty expensive to buy stuff from the US... it sucks :(

Wow, I wonder if this flood of orders will help the company actually stay in business? I'm just trying to imagine being a small company and having literally thousands of orders come in, many wanting/expecting their orders STAT...Maybe running into supply problems of their own if these are larger than usual numbers of orders...This really goes to show how the internet access has changed how business, including manufacturing, changes things very quickly.
