Default Just had to share...

I have a wizard and cuttlebug embossing folders.
When I watercolor I clean my brush off on a cheap pad of paper that I got at the dollar store. This paper gets many different colors of ink on it. I have been storing these, because, truthfully some of them weren't very pretty. I just ran them through my wizard with the mosaic embossing folder. Wow, did they turn out gorgeous. Now, I know I will use them( or give them to my friend who had a stroke and still sends lots of cards as part of her church ministry).

Smart thinking, Larue. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the picture is knitted baby blanket. The colors are like varigated (?) yarn and the texture has that knitted look.

I agree - they do look like knitting with varigated yard. Please use them on a card and post the results.

Very cool ...

Try buying something like this in the stores ... specialty papers can be pricey!

I wonder if a non-creative person (namely me) could re-create your design with a stipple brush and a bunch of coordinating stamp pads. Or with a watercolor brush and stamp pads. Just a wild thought.

What I have done is wet the background paper then ink up a stamp with a dye base inkpad and swish the stamp across the wet paper. The colors will blend together.

I haven't played with my cuttlebug much. But I'm thinking that maybe I can whip out a bunch of embossed backgrounds while I watch TV. If I color them using your method before embossing - then I will have some super neat background in supply for those "needed yesterday cards".
