I have just gotten into stamping more and would like a Cuttlebug after seeing all the lovely embossing in the galleries. I have a question though. When I went online to Joann's, the only embossing folders were 2x2, and didn't look like any of the samples on here. Are there different kinds of embossing folders? Thanks so much for any help on this.

Yes, there are larger ones. They are A2 size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) but actually emboss about 1/2 inch smaller on both sides. They run about 4.99 each. You can check out all of their stuff at www.provocraft.com and then go to Cuttlebug and then embossing. They just started selling the new ones in the stores (or at least my Hobby Lobby) and you can find most of them online somewhere.

I got mine today and yesterday I bought a cricut. HB surprised me he didn't blow a gasket. I have been playing all day.
I also know at Joann's you may place a special order at the cutting counter and get the sale price for the cuttlebug. My girlfriend works there. But the on line store is different they will just cancel an order if they can get it.
I love the embossing folders. I tried them out this weekend at a crop using the converter on a sizzix. It worked great. I ordered five of them at $4.49
I did get an email notification from Joann's that the 'bug' was back in stock and ordered one just now! Hopefully it will still go thru since I noticed on the email confirmation that it says if an item is out of stock they just cancel that part of the order. At least it's free shipping, too, with coupon code from their home/start page.

Yay ladies! Glad you are pursuing the CB, it is so worth it. allthatscraps.com has free shipping on orders over $10 so I like going through them for the folders. Especially now since the new ones are in stock! Happy shopping!

i was just at Joann's and didn't see one box or folder of CB anything! so very frustrating, I hate my Joann's it never has anything!!! will check this site out for the folders. I love my CB got it for my BD and use it all the time. I think its better than the Cricut but that might be cause i can't figure out how to use the Cricut. tech-o-challeged

I know exactly what you mean...my Joann's doesn't have much either. Actually, the scrapping/stamping section seems to get smaller and smaller each time I go. Uggh!!!:(

I think creativeexpress .com still has the cuttlebug for $39.99 may want to check them out I have ordered from them and never have had a problem.
Have you girls seen the new cuutlebug embossing ones? I just purchased the butterfly and make a flower one it has the die cut then you put them in the embossing folder so adorable. They also have come out with some new full size embossing folders I just ordered the pindot from my local scrap shop!!!
The new cut and emboss ones are going for $16.99 now I will have to head to JoAnns to see if they have the new line out yet!!

Ditto!! I just use the coupon they send me via email/snail mail and take my happy tail to AC Moore or Michael's;) .
