Inherited a ton of stamps and don't know what to do with them!!
I still can't believe this! My SIL called me to tell me that she met a lady who was closing her stamp store and had 3 days to get rid of the stuff or she was going to throw it in the dumpster! My SIL (who is not a stamper) took it off of her hands to use as a fundraiser for her high school class, then called me!
I snagged a bunch of stamps for myself, marked everything down to 75% off, then held 2 rummage/stamp sales. I sold over $1500 worth (at 75% off) and still have a ton left, including pegboard racks and revolving display doo-dads. I don't know what to do with the rest, so I'm looking for some advice and input...I haven't put anything on ebay yet because there is so much and I don't know how to do it at this point, but probably will after I've gotten rid of some more. Any advice???
Why don't you post on the BST forum what you have available and see if people would be interested in some of it. Take clear digitals and post them as thumbnails on your post(s). For the smaller items get the flat rate Priority boxes which are $4.05 and $8.05 (I think that's the rates) and establish that your only shipping choice, so you don't have to hassle with weighing and packaging first class. For the larger items you'll need to determine if it's even worth the hassle to you. Good luck. You've got a nice "problem" for a stamper to have - LOL.

before you spend money on ebay try selling on your own. get a picturetraill site ( www.picturetrail.com ) and photograph them then add a link to your name to the site and spread the word. biggest drawback is the same as with ebay waiting on payment and shipping.
I have seen lots go on ebay but thats a hard sell.
If you are going to list on SCS, please PM me and let me know when they will be on so I can look at everything, also if you put them Ebay. My SCS name is Cindygrammy2. Thanks!!
By any chance is this stuff from Stampers Lodge? Sorry - don't mean to be rude. Are you anywhere near Waukesha? I would love to take a look at what you have left.
If you don't sell them all on SCS, which I am sure you could do. You could always try www.craigslist.com
They are a free site and you can list in your own area.

Wow! I have received an overwhelming interest so in response to several PMs I received: The stamps that I have are from lots of different companies, including JudiKins, PSX, Denami Designs, Stampa Rosa, Stamp in the Hand, Magenta, and Make an Impression. There are over 275 designs, with most having duplicates, so over 500 stamps total. I also have accessories such as Fiskars templates, glitter, glue, foil, scrapbook page refills, and stickers.
I will be putting these items in a local garage sale for the weekend of Aug 12th, so hope to get rid of some of them there. After that, I will start taking pics of them (maybe in groups), and will let you all know if and where I will be posting them. Thanks for all of the input and interest...

Yeah, totally wondering why the owner didn't have her own "rummage sale" to try to recoup some of her expenses?? If you could sell them for $1500, why couldn't she??? Oh, well! Good luck day for you, I guess!
