I am taking the Plunge and signing up to be a demo

ok i have a zillion questions i am signing up to be a demo under my demo and i know the kit comes with lots of things and she said i can trade on some of the things in it because i have lots of SU products already is there any suggestion what i should get? i have most of the tools and stamp pads and tons of stamp sets and paper already is there something that you all can suggest for me?

I'm considering becoming a demo too & have the same question. I'm wondering also if I should wait for the discontinued stamps list so I don't order discontinued sets in my demo kit. Hope you get lots of suggestions & Best Wishes on your new endeavor!

Definitely get an extra black pad. I have four of them for my classes. You use that the most and having a few extras works well. I would wait until May 1st when the retired list comes out before signing up so you know what sets are retiring. Welcome to SU! You will love the company!!

Me too! I've got the paperwork already and I'm working on the substition list. I too am wondering if I should wait for the discontinued list.

I just signed up and am using everything in my kit! If you already have most of the current stuff, I would wait! The new book will probably have more fun stuff you'll want too! Good luck in your endeavor!

I have decided to sign up and wait till after May 1st. If you want to make a business then I think it's smart to wait till after the retired list comes out. Why take the chance to get a retired set in your kit?

i guess your right.....but wouldnt SU exchange it or not retire the sets that they offer there demos?

Some of the "extras" in the kit will come in very handy, especially if you're planning to have any clubs. The Stampin' Scrub, Craft & Rubber Scissors, Blender Pens and even the Wheel Handle.

Pick inkpad colors that you don't already own or use duplicates as rewards for workshop bookings.

Since the current signup special is good through the end of May, waiting til the first for the retired list makes lots of sense. If you do purchase sets that are retiring, you'll only have a limited time to sell them. However, if a set is something you love, the general consensus is to get it while it's available - as long as you can afford it.

I am signing up also, but have decided to wait until July to get the new catalogs. I don't want a bunch of catalogs that expire. Also, if I sign in July, then my first 300.00 isn't due until December which gives me plenty of time to acquire orders from my friends. Though it is so hard not to sign up now, lol.

i dont think i am going to wait...or should i say i cant (jumping up and down)..as for the catty's its ok that they will expire then you can give or sell them to your friends for ideas..i know that my 1st order as a demo not a customer will be a nice one since i will be ordering to restock all my paper and stuff like that i am going to hold off on ordering more sets until May i dont want to get retired ones. just yet when the list comes out i will buy some for my personal use..Good luck with your sign up....

I DID IT!!! My paperwork went in the mail yesterday..now i cant wait to get my demo# i was able to peek at SU for demo's and WOW..i am so excited i think worse then a kid at xmas...I want to make fliers and business cards and tons of ideas...ugh 2-3 weeks is going to drag...

Make sure you sign up for the Demo side of SCS! You will get more business and workshop ideas than you know what to do with! It's a great place for Demos.
