Sheeba... I would be interested in the number ones... in fact I would only buy this second #Mix if it had lots of #1... but it sounds like #2's, but he did say it was different to the first #Mix (which I got*
Maybe what we can do is let this #Mix get sold out, give adequate time for people to receive them and then start a swap thread?? Or start a swap thread wish list and then say ask everyone to swap after a certain date??
Ros Booth, thats a great idea to do a swap, I actually saw a few others got that I didn't and would love. So lets see if others want to join, if not I'll PM you whhen I get my lot to see if you'd like any of the duplicates
now ladies *and lurking men* I did start a thread but do ya think I cna find it??? My ISP has had probs so maybe it didnt load up here properly, which is a bummer as it took me ages LOL
anyway I shall try to find the thread and/or redo it... unless it was deleted
it was in the buy sell, and I put to swap sell etc??
I don't want to rub salt in the wounds of anyone who had to wait a long time for their lots, but I am literally gobsmacked. I ordered the latest mix lot on Friday afternoon, and it arrived here (UK) this morning!
And I'm very pleased with the contents too I'd already bought Lot 2, and I knew this one would have duplicates, but I also have friends who stamp, and I've arranged a round robin with some UK friends, so it's all good.
Anyway, I got several large stamps that are new to me, and I haven't even gone through the smaller ones, so I'm a happy stamper
OK guys, I am a wood mounted kinda girl--what do you do to get the image on the top of the wooden block? I haven't done this before...my father in law does woodworking so he has tons of scrap wood he'll cut for me.
Okay I got my mixed lot today and really disappointed on how many from lot #1 is in there. I did email him to ask if there was alot of lot 1 since I already had that lot and he said that there is more from lot 2 but that is not what I got :(

OK, I'm confused (as usual)....I was going to attach the rubber to the wood with the adhesive that's already on the rubber, after I peeled off the paper....what I want to know is how you get the image on the top of the stamp so you have the correct orientation/image on the top of the wood. I was thinking about stamping the image onto paper, then adhering the paper onto the top of the wooden block with something like wide tape. EZ mount does that?

Here's what I did. I inked up my image with Pigment brilliance ink, I stamped directly on the wood, hit it with the heat gun for a few seconds just to make sure it was nice and dry and then covered with contact paper.
I was going to stamp the contact paper and then stick that on the wood block, but I figured that if I messed up the image on the wood, I would just turn it over and stamp on the other side.
So far.....they all look great. I wood mounted those which I thought I would use more often, the others will be stored to use with acrylic blocks with double sided tape.
They look soooo nice on the wood, especially my favorite scrarecrow ;)
Hope this helps.
Forgot to mention, I got that idea from Betsy ;)
She recommended it a few posts back since I had the same question.
I did use contact paper instead of the clear labels, because the roll of contact paper (which I will never finish) was cheaper than a pack of clear labels. This way I could cut and make them in whichever size block I was using.
It stinks because there are some I haven't used because I don't have acrylic that size...I need like 4x4 or 5x5 and a 2x5....but I just don't feel like spending the money or putting money into online shipping...ugh!
Sheeba- and thats why I didnt bother as I only bought the first #MIX but that seems to have lots of number 2's and the picture shows number 2's
and when he mentioned having more from lot 2 I thought hmmmm maybe not...
Well I am more disppointed b/c I emailed him and he said that the mixed lot has more from lot 2 and since I had already bought lot 1 I thought it would be a great buy but now that I got it, it has more from lot 1.
So who wants to start a swap? I have alot of duplicates;)

You can use empty CD cases if you want to be able to see through the "block" But you can also use the flat side of wood-blocked stamps that you already own, or hard-backed books (but trust me, it's MUCH harder to judge where you're stamping if you use a book, I just had one within reach one day and needed to use a large stamp ;) )
