I'll be there! Not sure yet if I'm only doing the vendor show or if I will attempt some classes...

Darn it all, I won't be able to make it--I have another commitment that day (not even stamping related believe it or not. Have a great time, Billie Dee!
The one I went to last year had a lot more scrapbooking stuff than stamping stuff, so it may depend on what you're into. If it helps, here's a list of exhibitors: http://www.scrapandpapercorner.com/e...xhibitors.html
I've never attended any of the classes there, but I did volunteer in a couple of the Technique Tuesday classes last month at the GASC and those were good.

Honestly - I have enjoyed the classes but I have learned not to totally fill up my dance card. My second CKC I was TOO TIRED at the end to enjoy shopping! Take your time. Stroooooolllll down the isles admiring new products and existing. Yes - a lot of scrap-booking stuff but a TON of card-making stuff is in there, too. This is where I purchased my ATG700 a few years ago. First time I saw embossing paste and a few other items.
I'll be wearing a black Stamp Revolution shirt that says 'Join the Revolution' on the back, so if you see me, stop and say hi!

I've signed up, along with my sister, for a few classes over the 2 days. Who else is coming? My first year I only went to the vendor show.
My sister, a friend and I are going to the convention. However, we are not taking any classes. This is the first year for us to attend a scrapbooking convention in Houston, and we are so excited.
I am going to make some sort of a button with SCS on it - I hope. I plan to wear a pink shirt and khaki colored long shorts. My hair is ALWAYS in a ponytail or tied back. I usually have a sparkly clip in my hair. Glasses. Brown hair. (heavyset) My sister has straight blonde hair. If you call out Billie Dee! I will turn around
What a great idea to make a button or tag. I will do the same and put SCS and my name on it, too. You are certainly ahead of me -- I have no idea what I will be wearing other than I know it will be jeans and tennis shoes. I'll keep a look out for you.
well, we just got back from FL on sunday and my granddaughter is due today and if she isn't here by saturday, they are going to induce - so I have a GREAT excuse not to be there LOL

It is strange you wouldn't get a notice for Houston. It was a wonderful convention. My sister and I attended both days. We spent soooooooo much money. We loved the Cricket booth because we learned so much. I will have to tell you that today (Saturday) did not seem as busy as yesterday. This concerns me because if the turnout does not meet Creating Keepsakes' goals, they may discontinue shows in Houston. So it will be interesting to see if CKC comes back next year. There is a stamp booth called Lorelei who makes the cutest stamps. I will have to tell you more about them later but I have to leave for now.
I ended up only being able to go this morning. I'm glad to know it was less busy today. The booths in the back were pretty slow, but the ones in front seemed to be hopping. The class I took was pretty full.
Are there any other scrapbooking or stamping shows in Houston, or is this the only one?
Oh, and congrats also to Karen! (Although I'm sure you're too busy with the new grandbaby to see this right now
