I'd love to send you some cards! My baby brother is a US Marine and has been to Iraq and back twice now, his 4 years is up in July and everyone in the family is counting the days till he comes home. He inlisted a few months after his 18 birthday and spent his 21 birthday in Iraq, so I understand the the need family members have to have that letter no matter how long or short it is as long as it says "I'm doing alright" that's all that matters. I'm not sure how many I can get to you but I'll start tomorrow, I might even get my scouts to help.

thank you so very much..You just dont know how much this means to me for your help and support with this .. the men and woman over there and all over are going to love getting these boxes of goodies and the cards that they will be able to send home to loved ones....
and yes as a loved one we just want to see their writing that states I am doing fine miss and love you .. thats what we look forward too... and they to look forward to our letters and goodies..
everyone forgets that they go with out the extras and goodies ... sams club loves me cause I am always sending socks razors , maz. books and the nuts and candy I think thats what they look forward the most is the sweets LOL but thats okay ....
ladies again words cant tell y'all how much this mean to me and my family and all of the other service men and woman family for all your help and support.... JUST HOPE NOW WE DONT HAVE TO SEND EVEN MORE IF BUSH DECIDES TO HELP GREAT BRITIAN AND SEND MORE OF OUR TROOPS INTO IRAN..
my aunt is just stunned at how much yall want to help me on this mission to send cards.. BUT I TOLD HER THAT SCS LADIES ARE TRUE ANGELS WHEN IT COMES TO HELPING OTHERS...

I got them today just in time to send out
just beautiful cards .... I am going to try to start uploading pics of the cards i get that everyone makes to send to the troop..
if i can figure out how to do it .. i will play around with it tonight ..
I also just posted a thread....i have a TON of cards and cardfronts I would LOVE to send to the troops, please read my listing just before yours. If this is something you think you could use, please let me know. I would happily pay the postage if this is something that would go directly to our troops. I have HUNDREDS of cards/cardfronts that could be used. I could mail them to you or directly to the troops. Let me know.

my best friend and i are working on cards as we speak to send to them...

I just saw your post. I am doing this as well. My family is sponsoring a soldier and I am in the process of making some cards to send over for her and her troop to send home. Of course I am a slow makers and just beginning to do this. But I can't see any better cause for me to do this and it helps me get more practice.
I think I will send an email to my SU! demonstrator and see if she can help me in my effort of collecting some cards to send over to the troops too. If there is anyone else that hasn't sent to Belle and would like I will be more than happy to collect some for the soldiers and send them over with my care packages that go every 2 weeks.
You ladies are the best fro helping each other!

yes these are the besdt woman in the world .. and they will help ever they can
maybe you should start your own post so you can keep track and post thank yous to who help you
like i'm doing and you can keep track of who sends and put their address with screenanme so when you send thank yous to them it will be easier..
thats what I am doing
and these woman know that they are MY ANGELS I love them all

I sent a large box priority mail this afternoon. Like I said earlier, there is a mix of types. There are actually a few mothers and fathers day mixed in. The majority are thank you. I started to sort. There are some kids b-day cards, these are the ones I made. The rest came from my stash and my friends stashes. I hope they help. There are also a few fall cards mixed in. You will see when they get there!
I am so glad that your collection is growing. You are doing a great thing. I will try to get some Christmas cards started and sent off to you. I will try to rally my friends too.

Yes, its the same. i still have your addy from the swap. I am still new at being in swaps. I have been on SCS 1 yr. and just started being in swaps, then I got the nerve to host one to. This is so fun. I am loving it. I do have lots of cards sitting, so I am very happy they will be used now. I am not making as many do to work. I will send what I can and make someone happy overseas. I just read your post on the other thread. I am sorry for your loss. I found your thread on a day when our town was planning a military funeral for a former resident. I think that is what got me going. I just wanted to help a liitle bit. I lost count of how many cards are in the box. I love halloween and can certainly get started on those. I will get my friends moving too! We will keep sending you cards. And more importantly we will keep you in our prayers!

PLEASE TELL THEM THANK YOU AND PLEASE MAKE SURE I GET THERE ADDRESSES ... I have my family and friends working on thank you cards to send out to everyone for their support and helping me to do this ..
My children said that last night would it be neat if we could raise 10,000 cards and then they were like maybe we can rasie 50,000 by xmas ...
I told them not to get there hopes up cause thatis alot of time and money that these ladies are doing and to remember every little bit counts..
But they said they are going to work on cards and are going to start counting the cards to keep track bless their little hearts
but just want to say thank you again ladies for your love and support on this

Thank you so much for the hug ... Didnt sleep well last night maybe an 1.5 or so .. its hard to look around and see the things chris will miss out on now ..but he died doing what he loved the most being a MARINE and fighting for freedom... so I have my moments but I try to stay strong for the kids..
the kids have no school today so we are going to the gravesite and putting flowers down and giving Chris the ultrasound pictures.. with his family too
I will get to tell them all together the due day is Sept 11th..and we are having twins, can you believe it TWINS I am still in shock... so I can just imagine how his mother is going to act ...
then later today My oldest daughter has a softball game at 400 plus its snowing here in michigan again ... 1st game and its snowing brrrrrr.... have to get out the long johns again...
well thank you for letting me ramble....
I promise not to keep rambling now ..

WOW.. how ironic that your BABIES will be born on 9/11... I am truly sorry for your loss. I know it has only been 1 month and you did not have any closure or a chance to tell Chris about being pregnant, but know that he is always with you. I know nothing can take the pain and sadness away, but take comfort in knowing that he is with you and watching over you and the kids.
WOW.. TWINS.. that is amazing.. congrats...
I know today will not be easy, but stay strong for your kids and you need to stay healthy and strong for those babies you are bringing into the world.
I will be htinking of you. I have a little american flag and marine corpes flag on my desk at work in support of our troops. I tied a black ribbon on the plastic pole in memory of Chris today.
