I work for Avon which is the largest contributor to breast cancer awareness and research in the U.S. We are now in full swing at my
plant with fundraisers and walk, and cookie bakes and you name it to raise money for the Walk for breast cancer in Chicago later this year.
Well with all that said I was hoping that if any or all of you had an extra cards that you could spare I would like to donate as many as possible to the cause. They will be put in the craft sale and ALL
money will go to support breast cancer. I am going to make cards and journals and donate them. Heres the catch I need turn them in by Tues morning of next week.
You see I was a little nervous about asking for SCS to donate their cards but it seems that everyone here has a big heart and since most of us are women we know how important breast cancer research and awareness is.
So if you have a spare card and you dont mind donating it please

Oh and if I receive it any cards after Tuesday I will with your permission save them until the next fundraiser at the end of Febuary.
If I dont receive them in time I can either return them to you or save them for the next fundraiser coming. We will be having at least 2 a month until the walk ..
You are awesome Valerie!! I am hoping alot more SCS will be as generous as you. Our goal is to raise 100,000.00 from our plant alone for Breast Cancer in the next couple months...everyones help will be greatly appreciated!
I'm glad I can help in some way. I will put some cards in the mail for your next fundraiser. I'm a BR CA survivor and I have 3 daughters...so finding a cure is very important to me for my daughters. Avon's crusade to find a cure is awesome!
Ok, I have some I will send, they won't be there until the next fundraiser, but I really want these to go to this cause, so be prepared in Feb. I know they won't get there by Tuesday :( But you can have them and use them as you see fit.
What a great cause! I'll be sending some your way, too! I have a question, though--I will be sending some stamped cards, of course
but after reading a thread that ran a few days ago, I've been wanting to try my hand at re-using fronts of store-bought cards send to me by cutting the fronts and adhering them to new card blanks. I would probably add some fun embellishments, too. Would you be interested in cards such as these as well--as long as they are well-done and classy-looking?

P.S. on another Avon fundraising note--Avon is now raising funds for Tsunami relief. They have an elegant-looking pin that is an open gold heart, with a circle shape in the center. The circle is of the part of the world where the Tsunamis hit. The cost is $4, with $3 going toward relief efforts. Kudos to Avon for their strong presence in all kinds of fundraising and charity work!!!!

Any type of card would be appreciated..
All cards will go to the fundraiser....If any are left over they will automatically be held for the next months drive...
And again all money raised will go towards Avons breast cancer awareness research drive that we have at work .....My plants goal this year is to raise 100,000.00 just from the associates at my plant alone through these type of drives, cookie sales, craft sales....begging whatever it takes,....Last year we raised 60,000.00. I dont have much money to donate so I thought that with all the talent on SCS that we could all pitch in a help a cause that we all could one day be effected by in some way...

Thanks for clarifying, and I'm sure you'd appreciate envelopes with each of these cards, right? I'll put a pack together of cards and envelopes for you and get them out next week... put these on the back burner for your Feb fundraiser.
Are you just interested in just cards or would you like other things like journals and such as well? I would love to send you some but it will be a few days so save them for the next fundraiser.
