Same here. I got so excited when I read this thread that I ran to two Big Lots and nothing. I thought for sure that I would find something because I'm not in the forums often and I just figured it was a sign !! LOL !! I guess my sign was pointing in another direction today - oh well, I'm glad that someone got a good deal. I'll go to Amazon or overstock to buy mine.
Third Big Lots today. Still nothing. I suspect they didn't make it to any of the St. Louis locations. I took a picture and no one has seen them. Oh, well. I tried....

Just and FYI - an General Foods International coffee can fits perfectly in the squares of this organizer. I'm going to alter a bunch today. The only issue is that there is no "handle", so I'm thinking of somehow putting a ribbon loop at the top rin that stick sout from under lid and somehow adhearing it. Any other suggestion for a little handle on these tins???

thanks Teena I found out there IS a biglots here in Ct near my Mom's and a couple others in the state! I got 6 of the units for gifts and some to keep and am glad to know the coffe tins fit in so nicely! I also found for 99c 2 sets of the little tins by quickutz, would have bought more if they had them, and some very nice Hampton Arts stamps for
1$$!!! In my own small way I am helping to stimulate the economy!!! So any Nutmeggers out there you may find these cute items if you are near a Biglots, I think I cleaned out the store in Derby unless they put out more.
Lauri,
What about using a Cropadile and eyelet on the can (with a ribbon sticking out)
I tried, but there is a little lip on the inside of the can that prevents it from fitting into the Cropadile. I'm trying to figure out another way to punch a hole in the side of the can - any suggestion?

You could upgrade to a cropadile big bite with michaels fifty percent off coupon this week. Or you could try a drill. Most men enjoy using their tools.

I tried the Big Bite as well and the bite is not big enough! I'll have to play with the drill idea - I'll keep you all posted.

I have been to my local BL 5 days in a row and nuthin. I finally asked one of the ladies working there about this unit and she told me that not every Big Lots gets the same items in. It's a random thing and they only get a shipment in once a week and they never know whats going to be in it till it's opened. Oh well. I'm glad you ladies all got one and I can live vicariously through all of you!
How 'bout the old hammer and nail to start a hole?
It's not the punching of the hole, it's the setting of the eyelet. I'm thinking that I'll punch a hole with a nail as you have suggested, make a loop with a knot inside of the coffee can and then put a brad through it to cover up the hole - I'll keep you all posted!! Thanks for the suggestions!!

I was in the Palm Springs, CA area at the end of last week and visited the Big Lots in Cathedral City. Nothing. After going to four different Big Lots, I'm done looking for these. They sure would have been a great buy!

Well my BL in Fl didn't have them, but they did have tons of the Martha wedding stuff,
i got a box of 40 cards w/envy's $2, they have a beautiful scalloped lace looking bottom, and they say thank you across, but that can easily be covered, just letting the scalloped lace bottom remain.
That's too funny. My sister just bought me two of them at Big Lots not knowing what they were but knew it would be great for my scrapbooking. That's a great surprise. She just dropped them off this morning.

I had bought 2 for the $9.00 now they are $3.00 at our big lots so I bought 2 more plan to take the $9 ones back. I love them I use mine for all of my coloring markes, pencils etc. and one for glitter, ink pads and embossing powder .

They are located in the clearance section that is labeled 80-90% off. I would just ask the clerk where the 80-90% clearance is located in their store because they are all different.

Me too Dawn, Jobey and I took a ride after her party yesterday, and I didn't see any at the store I go too. It was busy with the 20% off of everything , so I didn't ask anyone. Jobey was in a hurry to go to WalMart to buy a video game, so I had to hurry up in Big Lots. LOL

I still haven't found any of these either. I am going to call my BL when I get done here to check. I live in NY and was down in Va. 2 1/2 weeks and on the way down we stopped at a McDonalds and there was a BL in the parking lot so we stopped in there. They also had none and that was somewhere in Pa. off of Rt. 81. I never got a chance to check in Va. I really want to find some.
I checked two BL's in MA and one in NH today. I talked to the sales people about them and they remember them and said they sold out long ago. They also told me that they got them in a big buy out of some Osco Drug Stores with a bunch of hardware.
They could not locate them using the SKU number because they don't use the orginal (on the package UPC) in their system. They retag them using a generic number referring to the lot number. So the storage cubes, hardware and everything else that came in the lot all have the same SKU numbers. One store looked it up using the SKU number posted here and noted that their store had over 4000+ products listed in the store.
Good Luck to everyone still trying to find these!
I was just in a Big Lots today in Aberdeen .. wish I had read about this, I could've looked for some. We have 3 stores here, so I guess I know where I'll be tomorrow.
thanks for the headsup on the deal.

bought 2 at my BL last night. They had some scuff marks on them but all it took was a Magic Eraser. I am lovin' the marker storage idea. Now I have a reason to buy more Copic markers! My DH said to make sure I thank all of you enablers for the tip...so thank you!
How are you all hanging these on the wall? DH went to hang them for me and there are no hooks or hardware on the back. Will those "claw looking" thingies that you can use to hang pictures with work?
I haven't seen these puppies, so I'll ask... They're not wide enough for ink pad storage, right? I've been collecting a bunch of distress ink pads from Tim Holtz and they are square and a bit smaller than the average pad...

Just wondering where you are located. I was at my BL today and gave them the SKU code I got from one of the post on here and they said they didn't have any. The girl did say I can just call and they can check over the phone with the code to save me a trip. I really want to find a few of these!!!
I found one today--they only had one though it was $3.00 ---I checked and yes the distress ink pads fit--you can fit 4 in one cube and there are 9 cubes.
My BF said I should of known there was a reason you wanted to go to big lots.
I told him I didn't know what he was talking about.
