I just got an email saying the Ft. Wayne, Indiana Archivers is closing, too. It's in a mall setting but it's located in the busiest shopping areas on that side of the city. They've opened up a lot of high end stores on the outskirts of the west side of the city but I don't know if they're going to move out there or just leave the area. I have no Archivers by where I live and always did some heavy shopping at the Ft. Wayne Archiviers when I'm there visiting family.
Hate to hear of the closings :( Although the Indianapolis store is getting a remodel with a whole new "photo center". Kinda like what a Walgreens or other stores have, now you can do anything to your pics.
Sorry to hear that. We've got two hear one in the South end of town and the other in the North end.
Although now we don't have any small mom and pop craft stores. So for those looking for the personal touch should go to SU! Demos and CTMH Consultants.

The South Austin store just announced closing too. It was pretty much a shock even to the staff. I was asking a worker (they didn't blurt it out complaining to me, I asked them) and her response was they got a phone call on Apr 1st to let them know the store would shut down in 2 weeks. They still have new merchandise coming in and classes where scheduled!
UGH. They had that store less than a year. The went from a single store in a good spot and opened two smaller store in two other locations. Now I can no longer go to one. The other "Austin" store is actually in a small town outside of Austin. So no bus or other transit service.
I think they just over extended themselves with some openings without researching where they were moving their stores (and in the process it also caused several small stores to close also sad).
