I just heard that another stamp store in Minnesota is closing. They are selling inventory on Ebay and in their store. They are listing some really nice stamps if you would like to check it out http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/bluesk...Q_fromZQQ_mdoZ
Not affiliated in any way but wanted to pass on their link: good buys for the buyers and help them out too.
Yes, the Stamping Post in Duluth MN is closing............sad news....they have been open for 12 years! Product is going fast..........lots of good stuff left though. As those of us know, they carry a lot of good things!
I have been there many times....and I loved the store. I drove by the store today and no signs in the window to let you know. Bummer for us in the northland.
It is sad to see the scrapbooking and stamp store close. It is hard to be a small business owner and try to compete with the big guys. Your store will be missed
Thank you for your comment. You said we will be missed. I really appreciate having that made. You are very kind. It's 5 people losing their jobs, the owner doesn't have a clue what she is going to do. Try to find a job in these times!! Most of the jobs, she is overqualified for with her Masters & such! Well, yea, that's not what a person wants to hear! It's really hard knowing we are closing....it's not easy to get motiviated. We just walk around in a daze some days when we should be cleaning! That part is actually funny! Thanks for your support. Some people come in & tell us how we are ruining their lives.....they don't have a clue what it is doing to our hearts! You actually seemed to get us! THANKS...over & over!!!!! We appreciate you!
I wish I lived close enough to stop in but I will keep checking your ebay listings. I hope all of you can ride this out. My husband's business pretty much closed last fall. He lost all of his commercial accounts and has to start from scratch. Its hard but we are hanging in there.
I know what it is like because I used to own a craft store in California before I moved here. We always struggled with the big stores getting the best stuff and our little store getting what was left over. It was a great time in my life and I enjoyed it alot. You become family with your customers. So, I do understand and I know you all will be fine. It is a tough thing to make that decision to close and to disrupt others lives. Good luck in the future. You all will be missed!
OK, it's official. The Stamping Post is closing on April 18th. Merchandise is going fast but with all that she has, there are still great stuff left! Signs are on the windows. Fixtures are being sold. She has great displays if anybody needs any............paper racks, shelves, etc.
blueskiessaw - I was just in Duluth! I had heard a rumor that The Stamping Post was closing, but didn't get there. I've actually never been, but all the stampers in Thunder Bay say it is the place to go. Now I'm sad I didn't make my husband good your address and drive me there. So sorry about the jobs...praying that things get better for you.

OMGosh ... unbelievable! That was one of 'must stop' places (along with Archivers) every time I go to the Cities. They just seemed to always have such a thriving business. I'm so sad.
I stopped at the stamping store in Duluth that is closing and it is a VERY nice store. Everything is 50% off and it is a big store. Last day is tomrrow, so if you are in the area, please check out The Stamp Post!
