Our inspiration site today is all about getting fit and healthy, and one of Audrie's suggestions was to make a scene that we would love to walk in. I walk in the early mornings most days, and living in MN means that sometimes I am walking through a winter wonderland - maybe not quite as dramatic as this sky, but incredibly lovely nonetheless!
For the sky, I used a technique that I learned from Loll Thompson: smooshing with alcohol inks on Yupo paper. She has a great video showing the process . I used the technique with the added mixative (silver). I am grateful to Loll for always sharing her beautiful techniques so clearly and thoroughly.
After I made the sky bg I splattered it with diluted white acrylic paint and some silver shimmer spritz. The rest is self-explanatory - the tree line die is popped up with dimensionals and the sentiment embossed in silver.

Oh my goodness Maura, this is a mini masterpiece!!! Thanks for the link to Loll's tutorial, not that I could create anything near as wonderful as this.
